Niagara Falls Marathon

Become a part of a majestic experience running along the horseshoe falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Choose from our races ranging from a 10k, half-Marathon and Marathon. The Niagara Falls International Marathon celebrated its inaugural running in 1974. The race was known as the Skylon Marathon. Beginning during the first wave of the North American running boom, it quickly became a favourite as it was the only marathon in the world that starts in one country and finishes in another… a destination marathon that crosses an international border, providing the runners with an experience of a lifetime. Niagara Falls International Marathon is also a Boston Qualifier.

In 2026, all events are entirely within Canada. The 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon will all start along Fallsview Boulevard before heading down Murray Street, passing the Skylon Tower, and continuing directly toward Niagara Falls. Runners will hear the roar of the iconic Horseshoe Falls as they head down to Niagara River Parkway. Much of the route is highlighted by views of the Niagara River!

Race Location
The main location for the weekend's events will be based at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre. This location will host our event Expo and Race Kit pickup on Friday/Saturday as well as the finish line area on race day. Please note this is approximately 1km from the start line.

Race Expo/Registration
Please note there will NOT be walk-up/race weekend registration available.

Bib Pickup will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm or Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Niagara Falls Convention Centre, Hall A: 6815 Stanley Ave, Niagara Falls, ON, L2G 3Y9

Parking/Shuttles
There are many paid parking lots in the area of both the start and finish lines, including all the hotels. More details on parking will be sent out in the athlete guide, closer to the race. A shuttle will be running on a continuous loop from the Niagara Falls Convention Centre to the start line location on race day. Details will be confirmed closer to race day.

Race Start Times: 

Marathon 8:15 am 

Half Marathon Run 8:15 am 

Niagara Falls 10K 7:30 am

Course Closure - 3:00 pm 

Awards: Awards will follow once results are finalized on site. Awards will be given to the top 3 males and females overall for each distance, along with the 1st place age group winner, in 5-year age groups. Once results are finalized for each race, awards ceremonies will take place on site.

Please note: There are no shuttles to and from the viewing locations. Spectators must drive on their own. The Niagara Parkway is closed to traffic for the duration of the race, so alternate routes using the QEW should be used.
