Niagara Falls Marathon: Run the Roar

Become a part of a majestic experience running along the horseshoe falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Choose from our races ranging from a 5k, 10k, half-marathon and Marathon. The Niagara Falls International Marathon celebrated its inaugural running in 1974. The race was known as the Skylon Marathon. Beginning during the first wave of the North American running boom, it quickly became a favourite as it was the only marathon in the world that starts in one country and finishes in another… a destination marathon that crosses an international border, providing the runners with an experience of a lifetime. Niagara Falls International Marathon is also a Boston Qualifier.

In 2025, all events are entirely within Canada. The 10k, Half-Marathon and Marathon will start at Rapidsview Park, and head North towards the falls! Runners will see and hear the roar of the iconic Horseshoe Falls as you run right by them going out and coming back! Runners will turn around by Fallsview Casino/Skylon Tower, giving you some of the most amazing views you will find on any racecourse in the world! You will then head back the same way towards Rapidsview Park, where you will pick up our former route and head out over the bridge in Chippawa. Your respective turn around will be along the flat, Niagara Parkway directly adjacent to the water! 5k runners will start right on the Niagara Parkway and head south, through Kingsbridge Park, over the bridge in Chippawa and onto Bridgewater St/Niagara Parkway, before turning around and heading back to the finish at Rapidsview Park. Much of the route is highlighted by views of the Niagara River!

Race Location
The main location for the weekend's events will be based at Rapidsview Park. Here we will host our event Expo and Race Kit pickup on Saturday as well as the main staging area on race day.

Race Expo/Registration
Please note there will NOT be walk-up/race weekend registration available.

Bib Pickup will be held on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00am to 4:30pm or Sunday, October 26th from 5:45am to 11:45am at Rapidsview Park: 4555 Upper Rpds Rd, Niagara Falls

What You Get: Technical race T-Shirt, finishers medal, official timing, post-race food, baggage check and more!

Parking/Shuttles
Parking for both days is available directly at Rapidsview Park, free of charge. A shuttle will be running on a continuous, direct loop from the Sheraton Fallsview (host hotel) to Rapidsview Park on race morning from 6:00am until 3:00pm.

Marathon 7:15 am 

Half Marathon Run 8:00 am 

Niagara Falls 10K 8:00 am

Niagara Falls 5k 12:00 pm 

Course Closure - 2:15pm | Post-Race Festivities - until 3:00pm

Awards: Awards will follow once results are finalized on site. Awards will be given to the top 3 males and females overall for each distance, along with the 1st place age group winner, in 5-year age groups. Once results are finalized for each race, awards ceremonies will take place on site.

Please note: There are no shuttles to and from the viewing locations. Spectators must drive on their own. The Niagara Parkway is closed to traffic for the duration of the race, so alternate routes using the QEW should be used.
