Niagara On Fire

All events are free!
A 15 minute video will be shown on a large screen outdoors at Market Square at the same wintry time of year when the actual burning took place in 1813. Along the town’s main Queen Street, lighting effects will simulate flames, and the town will be glowing red.

The video will tell the story of the burning of the town from the point of view of a fictional survivor of the devastation. The film will leave a lasting memory and understanding of the extent of the catclysm.

img5 The video will be made available for sale to the public, as well as be distributed to schools. Refreshments will be available in the Market Room of the Courthouse, and local shops will be open for business during the event.
