A chilly walk beside Niagara Falls calls for something warm. The Niagara Falls Hot Chocolate Trail brings an extra treat to the winter season, with imaginative cocoa creations served at participating restaurants, cafés and attractions across the city.
Previous editions have featured more than 50 imaginative hot chocolates at around 30 stops, from marshmallow-topped classics to dessert-inspired flavours and adults-only versions. The final 2026–2027 selection may differ. The trail is an easy way to explore Niagara Falls one cup at a time. Start around Clifton Hill, where the lively streets, nearby restaurants and attractions make a natural stop before or after visiting the illuminated Falls.
The trail overlaps with the Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights, which runs from November 14, 2026 to January 10, 2027. Enjoy the light displays, stop for a warm drink and make an evening of it.

Clifton Hill is an easy starting point for a winter outing in Niagara Falls.
