Bruce Cockburn

Since his self-titled debut in 1970, one of Canada's most cherished artist, has issued a steady stream of acclaimed albums. With a career spanning five decades, Cockburn has a grand collection of Juno Awards, SOCAN Awards, Governor General’s Performing Arts Award, and even a few hall of fame inductions to celebrate his work. In 2001 Cockburn was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, followed by his induction into the Canadian Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2002, and Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017. 

Cockburn has written more than 350 songs across 38 albums; his remarkable body of work is shaped by politics, spirituality, and musical diversity. His journey has seen him embrace many styles writing memorable songs about his ever-expanding world of wonders. “My job is to try and trap the spirit of things in the scratches of pen on paper and the pulling of notes out of metal.” Cockburn's commitment to growth has made him both an exemplary citizen and a legendary artist whose prized songbook will be celebrated for many years to come.
