Celebrating the Anniversary of the Siege of Fort Erie
Travel back to the War of 1812 with a visit to Old Fort Erie for the Annual Siege of Fort Erie Reenactment. Explore the fort as hundred of reenactors revive the history of Canada's bloodiest battlefield. Niagara Parks brings you on a journey through time with an action-packed weekend of artillery demonstrations, battle reenactments, children's programming and more.
All battle reenactments are free to the public and take place in the South Field behind the fort. Entry into Old Fort Erie requires paid admission; along with the Lantern Tour on Saturday evening departing at 9:00 pm, following "Drummond's Night Assault." The special lantern-lit tour of Old Fort Erie gives visitors the chance to witness interrogations, hear musket and cannon fire and even join in on the chaos themselves.
