For more than four decades, Canadian singer-songwriter, actor, radio/TV host has made an immeasurable impact in Canada, France, and across other French speaking European countries. Voisine's success began with the release of his third album, Hélène, topping the charts at number 1 for nine consecutive weeks in Quebec and France, Belgium, Norway, and Switzerland. In the 90s he was awarded the francophone Album of the Year with 3 million copies sold has has released 25 albums to date. Voisine was awarded a Diamond disc for 8 million albums sold over the span of his career, alongside receiving an honourary doctorate from the University of Moncton, Edmunston Campus. Six other of his albums have also reached platinum status in Canada. To honour his significant contribution to arts and culture, he was inducted into l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 1992 and the Order of Canada in 1995. Come this September, Voisine will be inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) to honour his “enduring contributions to Canadian songwriting.” Catch Voisine as he returns to the stage with The Lightfoot Sessions; a new concert experience paying tribute to the legendary Gordon Lightfoot. Reimagining some of the most iconic songs in the Canadian songbook, Roch brings a fresh and intimate perspective to Lightfoot’s timeless repertoire, while revisiting highlights from his own celebrated career.
