Nikola Tesla Day is an annual international festival in Ontario celebrating the life and achievements of the brilliant inventor. Founded on July 10, 2010, in Niagara Falls, the festival pays tribute to Tesla’s pioneering contributions to science and technology, particularly his revolutionary work in electricity. His 1895 breakthrough—constructing the world’s first hydroelectric power plant using alternating current (AC) at Niagara Falls—transformed global energy distribution and continues to power modern society.

Tesla Fest is an annual celebration held on the second Saturday in July in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This festival honors the incredible life and achievements of Nikola Tesla, a visionary in science and technology, offering a rich experience for attendees of all ages.

Set against the stunning backdrop of Niagara Falls, the festival runs for 3 days, providing an immersive environment for visitors. The event features a variety of activities and attractions that highlight Tesla's legacy. July 10th Nikola Tesla's Birthday

Tesla Fest 2026 will begin with the official flag-raising ceremony in front of Niagara Falls City Hall. The ceremony will honor Nikola Tesla’s birthday and mark the start of the festival. 

2:00 PM – Flag-Raising Ceremony

In front of Niagara Falls City Hall, marking the start of the festival and celebrating the 169th anniversary of Nikola Tesla’s birth.

6:00 PM – Flower-Laying Ceremony

At Nikola Tesla Plaza, Niagara Falls, in tribute to Tesla’s enduring legacy and revolutionary contributions to science and technology.

10:00 PM – Illumination of Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls will be lit in the colours of the Serbian flag, paying tribute to Tesla’s Serbian heritage and his groundbreaking impact on the world.
