J is for “Journey Behind the Falls

Journey Behind the Falls

Take a journey deep below and behind the heart of the Niagara Falls and stand where the falls tumble from 13 storeys above with the Journey Behind the Falls attraction at 6650 Niagara Pkwy, Niagara Falls (in the Table Rock Centre). 

Winter rates are reduced when the attraction’s Lower Observation Deck must be closed due to ice conditions, but this is a year-round attraction that takes you 150 feet below by elevator, where a short tunnel gives you access to observation decks and two portals located directly behind the Falls.

During summer daylight hours, over 2,800 cubic meters of water thunders over the brink every second, travelling 65 kilometers per hour…pretty amazing!

 K is for “Kingdom

Bird Kingdom Macaw Parrots

The Bird Kingdom is another tropical paradise located just a 5 minute walk from Clifton Hill at 5651 River Rd, Niagara Falls. 

This is the largest free-flying indoor aviary in the world. More than 300 birds make their home in this multi-level rainforest setting nestled in a building which has housed some of the area’s top attractions of the past. A 40-foot waterfall, tropical plants, and hundreds of birds from around the world put on a show for the public. Many of the 80 species of birds living at Bird Kingdom are endangered or threatened in the wild.
