Construction of this long awaited 5,000 seat, new Niagara Falls Entertainment Centre began in the Fall of 2017, and will kick-off with critically acclaimed singer, songwriter, guitarist and entertainer, Brad Paisley, hitting the stage on April 2nd. Following Brad Paisley comes a long line of incredible entertainers, such as Jason Derulo, ZZ Top with Special Guest Cheap Trick, Kesha, and REO Speedwagon for starters! The full upcoming performance schedule for the Niagara Falls Entertainment Centre has been announced by the Fallsview Casino Resort with a fantastic array of singers, songwriters, and incredible entertainers that the whole family can enjoy.That’s right, the Entertainment Centre is an all ages venue. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The new theatre will offer more than 300 shows per year in conjunction with the Fallsview Casino’s Avalon Theatre. The rise in entertainment listings will mean a big boost to Niagara Falls’ tourism, and the anticipation of on exciting 2020 season to nearby dining establishments and Clifton Hill attractions. The goal of the Fallsview Casino Entertainment Centre is to make Niagara Falls the entertainment destination of choice. The location of the venue couldn’t be more perfect, with it situated in the heart of the Fallsview District, directly across from the Fallsview Casino (accessible by an indoor walkway). People will be just steps away, with added parking in the Clifton Hill Parking Lot.
“This will be a world-class facility that performers will want to perform at and audiences will want to experience”, says Jim Diodati, Mayor, City of Niagara Falls. “With superior sound, sightlines and designs to make the experience memorable, we anticipate more than 1 million additional visitors to our city to see acts and performances here. Reading Time: 2minutes -With Cascades of Fire set to launch in Niagara Falls this weekend you can expect the city to get busy with locals and tourists alike. The Winter Festival of Lights event is already kicked into high gear, and when you add the two triple header weekends for the Cascades of Fire event series, parking nearby could be a challenge.
Though Niagara Falls is generally the biggest draw, this highly anticipated fireworks series will attract many more who will want to park near the launch site. Though instead of firing off from the base of the Falls, the fireworks will launch from the upper Niagara river control dam, just south east of the Falls brink (See image below).
If you want to score a prime spot with a great view, we recommend parking at Kingsbridge Park where there is a large lot just steps from the fireworks.

During the light festival and fireworks shows, Clifton Hill will be a popular destination for families before and after the shows. The main parking lot is right at the centre of Clifton Hill: The World Famous Street of Fun by the Falls. The lot is located one block to the Falls next to Queen Victoria Park, the Skylon Tower and near Fallsview Boulevard.

Friday, November 9th: Team China: “Celebration Fireworks” from Liuyang, China
Celebration Fireworks Cultural Group is a professional fireworks group with over 20 years behind them. They have three subsidiaries, including International Celebration Fireworks CO., Liuyang Celebration Joy Export Trading CO., and Liuyang Renrenle Celebration Culture Communication CO.
They have participated in more than 1000 fireworks display worldwide, including the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games one year countdown celebration, Jiangsu Zhengjiang Trade & Investment Fair, Spring fireworks Show for Zhao Qing(Guangdong) & Guiyang, Changsha Spring festival fireworks show, and the 2009 Lateran Festival fireworks for Changsha Orange Continent.
They have received awards such as the best award in the world’s eighth fireworks Conference (2008 Japan), the Gold prize in 17th National Invention Exposition, the champion in Dalian International Spring Festival fireworks Competition, the Best Design Prize in the 3rd International Pyromusical Performance and Fireworks Display Competition, and the golden prize in the 2011 F5 International Fireworks Competition, the top ten international influential company.
They also invented the largest “Chinese flag fireworks”, “Buddha fireworks”, “image fireworks of President Mao”, “kinetic fireworks angels” in 10th China International fireworks festival, and the symphonic fireworks show.

Saturday, November 17th: Team Brazil: Fireworks Do Brasil from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
Fireworks do Brasil has brought its experience in pyrotechnic shows and fireworks trade shows in Italy, where it was founded in 1980. They have been located in Brazil since 2000.
In 2005, they produced what was considered to be the largest pyrotechnic show in Brazil when they did the New Year’s Eve in Copacabana. That same year, they were accepted in the APA as being the only Brazilian company currently registered in the most respected international association, which regulates the sale and safe use of fireworks.
In 2007, they were responsible for the opening and closing pyrotechnics of the XV Pan American Games Rio, and they have since went on to establish themselves as a leader in pyrotechnics and fireworks having presented at several New Year’s Eve shows, concerts, sporting events, TV and DVD recordings, business events, and carnivals.

Reading Time: 2minutes -At 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 24th, 2018, the Niagara Speedway finally opened its doors to an excited crowd of travelers from all around the world ready to be part of the action. Since that day, things haven’t slowed down. We have seen crowds of people daily arrive at North America’s largest elevated go-kart track facility to test their driving skills, thanks to word of mouth advertising and all the media hype. Several media chains have linked us to being similar to “Mario Kart”, and while that definitely fueled the drive to our website views and to our establishment itself, we are in no way affiliated with this, but honoured with the comparison.
We are grateful for these first couple of months so far, and we look forward to seeing more potential growth in sales as the season progresses into the Fall. We will continue to remain open for as long as Mother Nature and business levels allow us to, and then re-open come the Spring. Know the Best Time to Dine
Generally, the busiest times to dine during the Spring and Summer months is between 8:00 – 9:00 pm, and between 7:00 – 8:00 pm for the Fall and Winter. Our busiest season is the Summer, from the time that kids get out of school in June until the Labour Day weekend. The primary reason why our restaurants fill up at these times is due to the Niagara Falls Fireworks shows, which is one of this industry’s biggest draws to the city of Niagara. The showtimes are at 10:00 pm during the Summer, and at 9:00 pm during the Fall and Winter. Travelers prefer to dine approximately two hours before the shows begin so belly’s are full in time for the grand spectacles in the sky.
Clifton Hill is a massive tourism draw for our international guests and overseas group excursions. With this in mind, many people arrive in large groups which could result in longer wait times to be seated should you come at the height of the dinnertime hour. Both the Boston Pizza and KELSEYS Original Roadhouse come equipped with a pager system should you have to wait for a table; and be aware that reservations are not made at many of these establishments (pre-planned large group bookings aside), so timing is everything.

Best Time to Avoid Crowds on Clifton Hill
It goes without saying that when traveling to Clifton Hill in the Summer and many Holiday weekends, you should expect crowds. Once mid-April hits (or before, should the ice boom in the Niagara River be removed earlier), all the attractions will be open and running including the Hornblower Niagara Cruises and the MistRider Zipline to the Falls. Clifton Hill’s attractions run year round (with the exception of outdoor miniature golf), but with the introduction of these two seasonal tourist attractions, Clifton Hill becomes a family magnet. Hiking the gorge is at its height, Niagara-on-the-Lake is flourishing with fruit stands and outdoor patios, and events and festivals throughout the region are abound.
If you can manage a getaway prior to late June, that is the prime time to travel here to avoid the peak season, and save some money along the way. Mid-week from September to March is fantastic because prices are lower for hotel accommodations. In September the weather is still warm, the boats are still on the water, both portals remain open at the Journey Behind the Falls, and kids aren’t too deep into their schoolwork yet. As long as you don’t mind large groups of school kids during the day, May to June can be heavy with end of the year school trip bookings at our attractions (see here for our current school group package for the curious minds).
When referring to hitting up the attractions at the least busy times, Clifton Hill is less crowded in the mornings, as many guests are still waking up or just arriving to their hotel destinations. On days that feature the Niagara Falls Fireworks shows, many guests have the desire to try and catch the show from the Niagara SkyWheel. If this is the case, remember that you are not the only one with the same idea. The SkyWheeldoes not take reservations, so if the wish is to be on the ride when the fireworks go off, arrive approximately 20 minutes to a half hour before the show (even earlier on Holiday weekends).
Try to do most of the Niagara Falls attractions before the fireworks shows, as once they are over, the crowds conjure up the Hill at approximately the same time. These people are ready to continue on with the fun at the same time that you are, meaning the potential of longer line-ups in likely.
The Niagara SkyWheel has a standard fee of $11.99 for Adults and $6.99 for Children (plus HST) no matter the time of day, season, etc. Refer to the Niagara Falls Illumination schedule prior to an evening jaunt on the big wheel in the sky. The SkyWheel provides incredible views of the Niagara Falls and the entire Niagara skyline, but for the best photos be sure to ride within the allotted illumination times. Remember, the sky is dark by 5:00 pm in the Winter, so if you come during that time of the year, refer to the illumination chart highlighted above or simply ask a cashier working there when the lights go on and off.
Without a doubt, the Clifton Hill Fun Pass is the best deal for to get more bang for your buck when doing an abundance of attractions. At an incredible savings, you’ll get 6 of our most popular attractions for only $29.95 for Adults and $19.95 for Children (+HST). During the late Fall and Winter (minus the Christmas season) some attractions can open a little later than the Summer hours of 9:00-10:00 am. If you bought the Fun Pass and you do not finish all the attractions in one day, you have one year from the date of purchase to do so. Hold on to your cards for a future visit.

Dinosaur Adventure Golf Course
As one of the nation’s largest miniature golf courses, Dinosaur Adventure Golf features two 18-hole courses that you choose from: “Raptor Run” and “T-Rex Trek” (for a total of 36 Holes). But what course should you choose? If your Niagara Falls vacation is family oriented and includes young children than the T-Rex Trek is for you. This course was made slightly easier, and kids will love the opportunity to play a hole inside the volcano — which only this one provides. The Raptor Run is for the competitive families or for the older family; it’s more challenging with trickier holes.

Clifton Hill has an obsession with haunted houses. Which should you choose? If you have young children, stick to the haunted houses directly on Clifton Hill. While they can be scary, they are manageable. These would be “the Haunted House”, “the House of Frankenstein”, and “Castle Dracula”. Looking to terrify yourself? DiCaire honors some of the world’s greatest artists with her magical ability to alter her voice. Her collection of voices include mega stars like: Celine Dion, Cher, Madonna, Sheryl Crow, Billie Holiday, Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli and Dolly Parton to name a few.
Fresh… Tenacious… An exceptional talent… sum up Véronic DiCaire. Born in Embrun, a small town in Eastern Ontario in Canada, the singer impersonator has been on a wild journey to fame and stardom!
She made a big splash as a vocalist impersonator in 2008 when she opened for Celine Dion in Quebec, on the Taking Chances tour. Imitating big French and American vocalists, she managed to catch a tsunami of media interest following this.
Focused on singing from an early age, Véronic awed the judges of the Ontario Pop singing contest when she was just 17. At that point moved into musicals, gaining acclaim all through Quebec for her depiction of Sandy in the Quebecoise version of GREASE.
After releasing a pair of albums and gaining more notoriety, she attracted the attention of Céline Dion and René Angélil, leading to great tour opportunities with Celine. She was able to build to sold-out French Canadian tours and migrate her success overseas in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Soon after, Véronic appeared on television as a judge on X-Factor France wowing audiences whenever she performed!

Casino Niagara has now re-opened the second level of the building after completing a $3.5 million renovation to the space, and investing another $3.5 million on new slot machines and gaming technology throughout the property.
“At Niagara Casinos, our mission is to provide all of our patrons with a world-class entertainment experience,” said Richard Taylor, president, Niagara Casinos. “Our investment in Casino Niagara is helping us deliver on that mission, and with our new restaurant, poker room, and next-generation gaming options, we are offering our patrons one of the most comprehensive entertainment experiences in southern Ontario.”
New amenities at Casino Niagara include:
LEV2L Sports Bar and Entertainment – A 275-seat sports-themed restaurant and bar with a 123-inch HDTV and numerous additional HDTVs, allowing sports fans to catch all the action from their favourite sports teams from pre-season to the finals. The restaurant also offers a new menu, a stage for live music performances, an area for sports wagering, and is the largest sports-themed restaurant in the Niagara Region.
Poker Room – The renovated space also features a new 24-table poker room, including a view of Niagara Falls. From November 13, 2017, the new poker room will host satellites for the upcoming Fallsview Poker Classic World Poker Tour event, which takes place in February 2018.
New Gaming Technology – The investment includes a variety of new slot machines, and the creation of an interactive gaming zone featuring items such as PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Golden Tee systems, and immersive, skills-based gaming.
Casino Niagara held an opening ceremony and ribbon cutting, which featured dignitaries including the president of Niagara Casinos, Richard Taylor, the mayor of Niagara Falls, Jim Diodati, OLG’s chief operating officer, Greg McKenzie, member of provincial parliament for Niagara Falls, Wayne Gates, and local business leaders.
“Today is the culmination of a lot of hard work by many from both Niagara Casinos and OLG and I would like to thank everyone involved in this project,” said Greg McKenzie, Chief Operating Officer, OLG. “OLG has been a member of the Niagara Falls community since Casino Niagara first opened in 1996. The new gaming technology, newly designed sports bar and enhanced dining experience will help keep business strong, which benefits both the City and Region of Niagara Falls. OLG’s commitment is to continue to make this community a better place to live, work and do business.”
“We were very pleased to welcome a number of our partners in the community at today’s opening event,” said Taylor. “Our partnerships with local government, tourism organizations and the business community are one of the key components to our success, and it was great to have a number of our partners join us in the celebration.”
During the renovations, Casino Niagara temporarily closed some of its access points to various parts of the casino. All access points are now reopened and available for use.

Looking for a healthy alternative rather than candy to give away this Halloween? The City of Niagara Falls is offering for a limited time a $10 booklet that will offer 40 coupons for admission at any public skating hours at the Gale Centre or the Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena. The coupon book will be on sale beginning Thursday, October 26th, through to and including Tuesday, October 31st at the following City facilities:

City Hall (M-F 8:30AM- 4:30PM)
According to Mayor Jim Diodati, offering recreational passes for people to purchase was an easy choice, “As soon as I heard the idea I knew we would want to participate! What a great way to treat our kids by getting them on the ice and active!”
Mayor Diodati said that “This will provide an opportunity to engage the community not only to get active, but to get active at our facilities.” City Council passed the motion to sell the passes unanimously and discussed expanding the program next year to include more City facilities and other activities.
A limited number of booklets are available this year, with only 1000 printed. If tickets are still available they will remain on sale after Hallowe’en.
