What is a Solar Eclipse?
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon aligns perfectly between the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow that obscures the Sun’s brilliance. On April 8, 2024, starting at 2:04 p.m., Niagara Falls will transform into a mesmerizing display as the moon covers the sun, briefly turning day into night. Eye safety is crucial, and certified solar viewing glasses will be available at Niagara Parks’ programming sites.

Free Total Solar Eclipse Concert | Monday, April 8 | Queen Victoria Park
Cap off this celestial event with a free concert at Queen Victoria Park, presented by Niagara Falls Tourism. The Glorious Sons, JJ Wilde, New Friends, The Boneheads, and the Niagara Symphony Orchestra will perform, creating a magical atmosphere before and after the eclipse.

Don’t miss the 2024 Solar Eclipse – it’s an experience you’ll talk about for decades!

Important Note: Remember to prioritize eye safety during the eclipse. Looking directly at the sun without certified solar viewing glasses can cause serious damage to your eyes. Regular sunglasses are not sufficient.
