Fall Events in Niagara Falls: Clifton Hill Restaurants & Nightlife

Reading Time:  4 minutes -

The month may almost be over, but there’s still plenty going on for Fall events in Niagara Falls — especially on Clifton Hill.
Join us at Rumours Night Club this Thursday, October 31st for our annual Halloween bash! This year’s theme? “Exotic, Erotic”! Men, you dress up in your best exotic costume and ladies, your theme is erotic! Best costume wins $500 cold, hard cash! Best of all? It’s free cover! DJ Oz E spins the tunes all night long! Every year the party gets bigger and better than ever — and this Halloween will be no different. Definitely be sure to check this one off as one of your must-see Fall events in Niagara Falls! Here are just a few pictures from last year’s event — and remember, every weekend there is a photographer on hand to take your picture. Be sure to find her and tag your photo off the Rumours Facebook Page!

If you can’t make Rumours on Thursday, no worries because it’s redemption time at Boston Pizza Clifton Hill on Friday, November 1st! Halloween continues with Boston Pizza’s “Day After Halloween” celebration! $4 Jager shots, $5 Pumpkin Ale and lots of prizes to be won…so don’t retire the costume just yet! This Boston Pizza is also one of the largest sports bars in Niagara Falls, so catch your favourite game on one of the many big screen tv’s. Unsure what game is on? No problem. We have the daily sports action listings on our website! Click here to check out what game is playing on a week-to-week basis under our “Calender of Events”. And just like Rumours, Boston Pizza Clifton Hill has our weekend nightly photographer on hand to snap your picture and upload it in an album on the Boston Pizza Clifton Hill Facebook Page. Tag, tag, tag away — and you never know if she has a prize to throw your way! ;).

New this month is “Win-Win Tuesday’s”! Every Tuesday night during the Leafs game, Boston Pizza Clifton Hill is where you need to be! If they win, than great — we all feel good! If they lose, you still win with a free pizza on us!

If you are looking for a place a little more low-key, than check out Kelsey’s Clifton Hill and their new menu items just in time for Fall. Situated right on the corner of Clifton Hill and Victoria Av., it’s totally encompassed by windows for people watching and viewing all the excitement and entertainment on the hill.

Kelsey’s has just introduced their “Meet the Meats” menu. Catered specifically for the meat lover, this menu doesn’t disappoint! The “BIG WHAT” Stuffed Burger is a popular favourite which includes double stacked sirloin patties, bacon, goat cheese, caramelized onions, apple butter BBQ sauce and crispy onion strings, served with crispy fries for $14.99.
My personal favourite addition to this menu which gets 2 big thumbs up is the “Messy Beef Sandwich”. OMG!!! So delicious, give it a try! AAA beef piled high with caramelized onions, Cajun dusted onion strings, jalapeno monterey jack cheese and house-made horseradish beer mustard on a toasted pretzel bun and served with crispy fries for $13.99.
*Messy Beef Sandwich….so ******* good! lol*
There are so many options on this menu for both lunch and dinner, so just click here for the full menu.
Perhaps best of all is Kelsey’s new “kicked up” bar promotion. Come to our Clifton Hill location and we will top up your draught beer for only .99 cents (5 oz. for domestics, 3 oz. for all others) and top up your martinis for only $2.50 (10 oz.)! So basically (at least the way I look at it), if there is 12 ounces of beer in a single standard bottle of beer, 2 “kicked up” draught beers would just cost you $2 for almost a full bottle of domestic beer. I can’t remember the last time I had a bottle of beer for $2!! Any way you look at it, that’s one heck of a deal!
So, with the Fall season upon us, there is still plenty of Fall events in Niagara Falls on Clifton Hill to take part in at our restaurants and Rumours Night Club — and more to come! Stay connected to me for more restaurant specials and events! 🙂

The Ultimate Vacation Giveaway to Niagara Falls!

Reading Time:  5 minutes -

When visiting Niagara Falls on vacation, Charles Dickens once remarked “It would be harder for man to stand nearer to God than he does here”. Voted #1 by the National Geographic in the “Top 10 Things To Do in Ontario”, it is without a doubt the prime destination to travel to and cross off your bucket list. It is massive with the combination of three waterfalls, the “American Falls” at 183 feet and a crest of 830 feet, the “Horseshoe Falls” at 173 feet and a crest of 2200 feet and the “Bridal Veil Falls” at 181 feet with a crest of 56 feet. It is worth a vacation to Niagara Falls just to see how beautiful it is in person, but if you get tired of watching the Falls, there is so much more natural beauty and history to view. Head down to Whirlpool Park and wander around the gorge for starters and ride the Whirlpool Areo Car for a totally different appreciation of nature. Or visit Fort George for a history lesson and photos within the headquarters of the Britsh Army during the war of 1812!
The “Street of Fun by the Falls”!
Of course, a vacation to Niagara Falls wouldn’t be complete without a visit to one of the most famous streets going, Clifton Hill! Like a bullseye, you will instantly recognize Clifton Hill by the massive 175 foot structure in the sky, the Niagara Skywheel. It overlooks the Niagara horizon and has been a staple in photos since its opening in 2006. This is a ‘must’ on your visit to Niagara Falls, along with a variety of other attractions catered to all ages — toddlers to seniors! The Clifton Hill Fun Pass is just the package to purchase when ready to take on the excitement on Clifton Hill. The Niagara Skywheel, the all-new Dinosaur Adventure Golf or Galaxy Golf, Movieland Wax Museum of the Stars, Ghostblasters Dark Ride, a six-dimensional thrill ride called the XD Ride Theatre and 5 tokens as an added bonus to try your luck at any one of the over 300 Midway games in the Great Canadian Midway! This Niagara Falls attraction package is completely inexpensive at only $25.95+tax for Adults and $19.95+tax for Children.

Besides the attractions, let’s talk about the dining. Clifton Hill itself only takes perhaps 10 minutes to walk from the base of the street at the Niagara Parkway (River Road), to the top of the street at Victoria Avenue, in which it then turns into Centre Street — and seconds away from the Greg Frewin Theatre. Options are vast within that 10 minute walk for something to eat, from Hot Dogs, Beavertails and ice cream stands, to Wendy’s, Tim Horton’s and Burger King, and restaurants such as Kelsey’s and Boston Pizza. This Boston Pizza in particular is geared to families and the theme of Clifton Hill’s “Street of Fun by the Falls” with it’s one-of-a-kind setting inside all the lights, sounds and gaming action of the Great Canadian Midway entertainment complex. The dining area is massive and contains two bars to cater to the convenience of faster service and to accomodate the diners that choose to eat their meals next to Strike Rock N Bowl , Boston Pizza’s only 10 pin, 14 lane full bowling alley within this Niagara Falls restaurant.

Don’t forget to stick around after hours, because your vacation doesn’t end at 5:00! Clifton Hill doesn’t roll up its carpet until super late (especially in the Summer months!), with most attractions opening at 9:00 am and not closing until 1:00-2:00 am. Experience different views from the Niagara Skywheel, or even with both feet on the ground when you take in all the amazing glitzy lights, volcano “eruptions” from Dinosaur Adventure Golf and laser shows from within some of Niagara’s best nightclubs that align the street, like Rumour’s Nightclub.
http://youtu.be/2a9OouqlUbE
You are guaranteed to have so much fun on your vacation you won’t want to go home…so why leave? Relax and have a few drinks at Rumour’s Nightclub knowing that just steps away is the Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Hotel. You can’t beat the location! This Niagara Falls Hotel is right in the heart of the tourism district on Clifton Hill. Just outside the doors is the Niagara Skywheel and attached to the hotel is Kelsey’s Clifton Hill — you don’t even need to step foot outside for inexpensive, family dining! Just one block to the Niagara Falls, it’s easy and convenient to get from one major attraction to the next. The room rates beat top competitors and include access to its tropical indoor swimming pool and free breakfast onsite at the Poolside Cafe. Take advantage of the many package deals to choose from like top notch savings of up to 70% in the Build-A-Package campaign or the Niagara Falls Family Fun Package.

There is an abundance of things to do in Niagara Falls on your vacation, all central to your stay at the Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Hotel, but if you choose to leave this area for the day, head to the gorgeous setting of Niagara-on-the-Lake and visit any number of their wineries for a tasting and tour, which coincedentally is also offered as part of a package within your hotel stay at this Comfort Inn. Click here for details.
On the outskirts of Niagara Falls is the home of Safari Niagara in Stevensville, just a 10 minute drive away. Its the ultimate summer fun destination for people of all ages and abilities. The park is completely interactive with educational animal presentations, guided tours, animal feedings and a petting farm. Admission is all-inclusive*, providing unlimited use of the ropes course, bungee, safari rides, splash pad, fishing, kite flying, paddle boats and more. Niagara Falls Deals: Cheap s*#t on Clifton Hill!

Reading Time:  5 minutes -

First off, I would like to say how pleased I am on the feedback I received from my first cheap s*#t post on Niagara Falls Deals. Keep them coming! I had a ton of suggestions, and a few of them pertained to right here on Clifton Hill, so this follow-up blog is using a few of your findings (as well as my own) of cheap findings right under our noses. Tourists can benefit from this post, as there is no way you can travel to Niagara Falls without funneling through this massive entertainment district.
Scenario: you have decided to come to Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls for a vacation, or even just a night out as a local to take in the scene. You are willing to spend money, but without the stigma of paying tourist prices! Not to worry, Clifton Hill does offer legitimate great Niagara Falls deals. With a little digging, it’s easy to find some fantastic Niagara Falls deals within a city known for its majestic beauty and within a street known world-wide as the “Street of Fun by the Falls”!
Drink a lot, save a lot more!
When you go out for drinks you are probably used to spending anywhere between $5-7 for a bottle of domestic beer. It’s pretty commonplace now to expect that $20 will get you maybe 2 drinks and enough for a pop…3 beers if you don’t tip heavy. Right now, Kelsey’s Clifton Hill during the busy, Summer months is offering a bucket of 5 Coor’s Light beers for $16.99!! That works out to be $3.40 per beer! Compare that with the money you spend outside the tourism district at your local pub and I’m willing to bet…actually, guarantee, that you are saving a huge amount of money. Only now you can throw in that instead of sitting beside Brian the neighbourhood drunk, you have free LIVE entertainment that Kelsey’s offers every night during the Summer. Sit out on the patio, enjoy the beautiful weather, drink some good cheap s*#t, people watch, make some new friends and enjoy live bands…all for $16.99…and that can be for 2 people unless you want to drink the 5 beers on your own, in which case go for it!

Looking for another good hot spot on Clifton Hill for cheap drinks and great Niagara Falls deals? Check out Boston Pizza! Not only is this bar Niagara’s premiere sports bar in the tourism district and has been since it opened, but it’s also the place to go for nightly entertainment! It’s unique from all the other Boston Pizza’s as it’s located within a 70,000 square foot entertainment complex called the Great Canadian Midway. The arcade features over 300 arcade games, and Boston Pizza Clifton Hill is in the centre of it all surrounded by games, billiards and connected to Strike Rock N Bowl , the restaurant’s only 14 lane, 10-pin bowling alley!
On Saturday, June 15th, 2013, Boston Pizza Clifton Hill will be holding its Boston Pizza Beach Party event! This event is set to kick-off Summer with prizes for best beachwear, a limbo contest, Corona girls and Corona specials all night long beginning at 9:00 p.m. Get a bucket of 5 Corona’s for $25!! Now THAT is a great Niagara Falls deal!

Let’s not forget everyone’s Canadian favourite…Tim Hortons!! Just because you are on Clifton Hill doesn’t mean the same rules don’t apply. All Summer long, Tim’s is offering $1.00 small drinks. Iced coffee, iced lattes, iced mocha lattes, flavoured ice lattes and original or raspberry lemonade are all featured and all for only $1.00! Not that you needed another incentive to go to Tim Hortons, but drinking that cheap in a place located a 3 minute walk to the Falls? Priceless.

Treats for cheap, cheap, CHEAP!
The Fantasy Fudge Factory has something for the person with a sweet-tooth and I compared their prices online with leading competitors and they really do offer the best value…great quality, made fresh right on site and more for your buck. Take their candy apples for instance. ANY flavour, not just a plain ol’ candy apple for $3.49! Dipped in chocolate, chocolate with nuts, caramel, you name it…all for $3.49! Some leading competitors are charging $6-7.

No way can you walk into the Fantasy Fudge Factory without your kids squaking for something to eat. I’ve tried it with my 2 year old and it has yet to happen where we have left empty-handed. They have a brand new Niagara Falls deal where you can purchase 3 of the items shown below for $6! You’re not breaking the bank and you can get 3 kids smiling, or 2 kids and yourself content for super cheap!

Entertainment for LESS!!
I swear to you, the Clifton Hill Fun Pass truly is the cheapest entertainment value for what you get! Just check out travel sites such as Trip Advisor and you will see for yourself the popularity and word-of-mouth positive feedback that attractions such as the Niagara Skywheel, the Great Canadian Midway and Dinosaur Adventure Golf receive. All of which have received Trip Advisor’s Award of Excellence, and all of which are featured in the Clifton Hill Fun Pass. And there’s more. You also get the Movieland Wax Museum, Ghostbalsters Dark Ride and the XD 6-Dimensional Ride Theatre ! If you don’t want to play outdoor miniature golf, there is also Galaxy Golf that is an indoor glow-in-the-dark course that you can choose to do instead of the outdoor course. That’s 5 attractions, plus tokens to play in the Great Canadian Midway for only $25.95 for Adults and $19.95 for Children. That’s a 50% off retail cost and as an additional bonus, if you purchase the Clifton Hill Fun Pass via clicking here you get an added Niagara Skywheel admission! Venture on the ride for a bird’s eye view of the majestic Falls during the day and night for different perspectives.
So there you have it. There really is some cheap s*#t on Clifton Hill! If you know of any great Niagara Falls deals please stay connected to me and under this blog there is a comment section. I will choose some of the best deals and blog about them OR tweet your suggestions to me @cliftonhill with the hashtag #s*#t. Saving money is important to you and finding the best Niagara Falls deals are equally as important to me!

This is for the tourist that is sick of feeling gauged and for the locals that maybe have yet to discover what their own town has to offer them. Everyone is always asking me “where is all the cheap s*#t at?” so this has inspired me to take it into the next level! This will be a regular series, and I will base my blogs around what avenues that you people would like focused on. Comment on my blog where or what you want talked about that’s cheap in Niagara Falls, and I’ll pick the most popular suggestions and find the businesses or locations that feature cheap s*#t, or even free s*#t if it pertains! Send me your suggestions on our Twitter account @cliftonhillfun with the hashtag #s*#t with suggestions! So here goes my first blog and this one focuses on some local Niagara Falls Restaurants to eat. Welcome to cheap s*#t in Niagara Falls to eat!

For breakfast, one of the cheapest and yet most filling and delicious meals is actually close to the main tourism strip of Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls. It is on Lundy’s Lane, not even a 5 minute drive from that spot. Falls Manor is located at 7104 Lundy’s Lane and features meals like mama used to make, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but it’s the breakfast that really drives the locals in! You would be hard-pressed to find this restaurant empty.

Falls Manor has been a fixture in Niagara Falls for over 40 years and really maintains that quality service and affordable prices need to stay top in mind when competing with all the other Niagara Falls restaurants. A real bonus to Falls Manor is that their breakfast is available all day for any of you vacationers that like to sleep in on your holiday! For their breakfast menu, click here and see for yourself the quantity and quality for your dollar!

After breakfast, head back to Clifton Hill to engage in some touristy attractions such as the Niagara Skywheel or the Maid of the Mist. Be sure to look into the best attractions value with the Clifton Hill Fun Pass that saves you a huge chunk of change with 5 attractions plus Great Canadian Midway tokens to play in their massive arcade! Purchase it online and you get a BONUS Niagara Skywheel admission for FREE!

 Cheap Lunch in Niagara Falls!

So now you’ve worked up an appetite after all those attractions, and with the money you saved you are ready for some more cheap s*#t to eat for lunch! Every local has heard of the Flying Saucer Restaurant! Much like the Falls Manor, the Flying Saucer has been a staple in Niagara Falls for over 40 years. This is unique among Niagara Falls restaurants in that it is literally shaped as a UFO and is located at 6768 Lundy’s Lane, so again very close to Clifton Hill and the Falls itself. Lunch is cheap, the food is good and it’s a great place to take the family and for the child with a fascination of sci-fi. Light lunches such as affordable salads, wraps and paninis to subs, burgers, hot dogs and chicken wings are featured and the prices are cheap, cheap, CHEAP!!! Out of this world you might say…. . Check out their lunch menu for yourself and click here!

Now that you are full from lunch, you are ready for some more Niagara Falls family fun! If you stay at the Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Hotel (just a 5 minute walk to the Niagara Falls), they exclusively offer you savings on the Build-A-Package offer which contains a series of packages that offer you a savings of up to 70% on some attractions such as the Greg Frewin Magic show and great savings on the Niagara Falls Adventure Pass which features the most popular Niagara Parks attractions such as Maid of the Mist and Journey Behind the Falls. In the month of June, further discounts are offered on the Sunday’s of the 9th, 16th and 23rd especially for $19.95 off their rooms, click here to see for yourself!

Cheap Dinner in Niagara Falls!

This one may even be new to a lot of locals as its relatively new in itself. Strada West is located at 7805 Lundy’s Lane inside the Mulberry Centre Plaza, and is owned by Tom and Anthony Roberto, whose father and uncle owned the fine dining Niagara Falls restaurant Casa D’oro for 48 years until its closure in October. The brothers have switched gears and have opened a casual-style restaurant that features Italian-style food such as specialty pasta dishes to burgers and sandwiches at a reasonable cost in a modern, chic atmosphere. Prices range from $8.00 appetizers to $18 linguine pescatore. This restaurant features a lounge bar, a 40-seat patio and a dining area that seats 75 people in a 3,600 square foot building.

I spoke to a lot of locals and this Niagara Falls restaurant is taking off in popularity. For their menu listing, click here.

Great s*#t to do after Dinner!

Be sure to head on over to Boston Pizza Clifton Hill after dinner for a wide variety of drinks in a relaxing, sports bar atmosphere. Tons of TVs to watch all the playoff action on, surrounded by arcade games, bowling and billiards to keep everyone entertained. This Niagara Falls restaurant is always jammed, especially in the Summer, with not only tourists, but locals as well! It’s the ideal spot to go to watch your favorite team with the patio full of beautiful people catching some rays and then taking in the nightlife on Clifton Hill!

So there you have it…some cheap s*#t in Niagara Falls to eat! Don’t forget, if you know of a great place that offers fantastic savings, let me know and I will pick some of the best to talk about. Add your comment below or tweet it @cliftonhillfun with the hashtag #s*#t . This doesn’t just have to be cheap places to eat, it can be anything cheap in Niagara Falls! Who knows what may be next on the list to talk about!

I look forward to hearing your suggestions!

New white lion exhibit now open at Safari Niagara!

Reading Time:  4 minutes -

Take the whole family to Safari Niagara!
If you are looking for a great Niagara Falls attraction to take the whole family, Safari Niagara has something for the whole family to enjoy! Located just a 10 minute drive from Niagara Falls itself, Stevensville is a town rich in rural beauty. Black Creek runs through the area which is often used by kayaks and canoes with a perfect spot to launch a boat…and within this stretch of countryside sits Safari Niagara at 2821 Stevensville Rd. Safari Niagara, formerly known as Zooz, is a 150-acre nature park with over 750 animal, bird and reptile species. It’s the ultimate Summer fun destination open from June 1 – Labour Day. The park is completely interactive with educational animal presentations, guided tours, animal feedings and a petting farm.

New this year is that admission is all inclusive, which means you gain access not only to the entrance fee, but also unlimited use of the rope course, bungee, safari rides, splash pad, fishing, kite flying, paddle boats and more! There’s also playgrounds for the little ones to enjoy, a restaurant on site and a gift shop. Season memberships are available for purchase at the park admissions booth or by calling 905-382-9669.

New to 2013 is the White Rhinoceros Exhibit, an Interactive Reptile Exhibit and a Free Flight Budgie Experience…and one of the most beautiful exotic animals has just arrived — the White Lions!
There are four white lions, two males and two females. The white lions range from 5 to 7 months old and were captive born from a facility in South Africa, which they will now be a permanent fixture at Safari Niagara.
White lions are extremely rare and have not been seen in the wild in more than 15 years. These are Niagara Falls’ first and ONLY lions. They reign from the Timbavati region of South Africa. Their white disposition is the result of a recessive gene known as a color inhibitor specific to their native region.
“We are committed to the conservation of endangered lions. We strive to educate our guests on the importance of conservation, as it is key to the survival of many species” said General Manager Tim Tykolis.
In addition to the lions, there are many more wide variety of animals from Elks and Flamingos to Tigers and Giraffes! Click here to see an alphabetical list of animals featured.

Safari Niagara is currently holding a naming contest for the four lions on their Facebook page @ www.facebook.com/SafariNiagara and directly at Safari Niagara until June 9th, 2013. The winners will be presented with 2-day passes to the park! Season memberships are available for purchase at the park admissions booth or by calling 905-382-9669.
The Fun Continues!
When the park closes, no doubt you are getting hungry and there’s no other spot in Niagara Falls that draws the crowds in like Clifton Hill! Keep your family entertained and their stomachs full of delicious, affordable food at Boston Pizza Clifton Hill. This Boston Pizza is unique among the others as it’s located within a massive arcade called the Great Canadian Midway, full of over 300 arcade games, Midway rides such as the Ghostblasters Dark Ride and the XD 6-Dimensional Ride Theatre and a full-size bowling alley, Strike Rock N’ Bowl!

No doubt Safari Niagara will leave your feet tired, and the Clifton Hill Fun Pass attractions are all located within steps of each other, so you don’t need to wander to far to experience some of the best Niagara Falls attractions. This pass includes not only the Midway rides described above and tokens to play in the Great Canadian Midway, but also Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence winners, the Niagara Skywheel and Dinosaur Adventure Golf for some outdoor Jurassic-Park themed fun! If you prefer to stay indoors, the pass has you covered in that area as well with the option of choosing Galaxy Golf indoor glow-in-the-dark miniature golf instead! At 50% off you can’t lose with a pass containing 5 great attractions at $25.95 for Adults and $19.95 for Children! AND by purchasing it online ONLY, you will receive a bonus Niagara Skywheel admission by clicking here!
With the weather heating up and the days getting longer,  it’s great to know that Niagara Falls attractions are plentiful to keep you occupied and the kids entertained!

March Break Travel Tips in Niagara Falls…Save Money and Enjoy Your Family!

Reading Time:  5 minutes -

You blink and it’s here. March Break. Parents without a March Break plan face the possibility of spending their own hard-earned holidays ensuring the family isn’t bored – or worse – testing each other’s patience for an entire week. We’ve all been there before, booking a last minute getaway with the best intentions, only to have its foundation crumble before your eyes because you never took into account last minute details that you should have tweaked beforehand. Whether it be financial savings, or preparing for any injuries that quite possibly, and with all probability with a little one, may occur. Suddenly your vacation starts to unravel and you feel totally incompetent because its the little things that can really make or break your vacation and could have easily been avoided.
With March Break only a couple of weeks away, booking a last-minute getaway so the whole family can unwind isn’t as impossible as it may sound.  The perfect destination can still be found for all types of families and budgets. From getting the best possible deal to ensuring the family stays safe, here are some helpful…and quite often, overlooked tips.
There ARE last minute getaway options for families, not just couples without children.
Many hotels often offer package savings that you won’t necessarily be aware of unless you do research beforehand. Be your own Private Investigator. If there is a certain hotel chain that you are fond of, check out their website, subscribe to their newsletter, read their blog postings or even become a “fan” of their social media pages. You will find that many hotel chains advertise through this route and have monthly and even weekly special savings…maybe even contest giveaways!…that can greatly benefit you in the long run. As an example, the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls offers all the above in their website and continuously sustains many special offers and package deals year round.
https://www.cliftonhill.com/niagara-falls-packages and follow them socially on Facebook “Comfort Inn Clifton Hill: Niagara Falls Hotel and Resort” and/or on Twitter “@cliftonhillfun” and “@Niagara_Hotel”.
Since travelling with the whole clan can get pricey – vacationers need to start saving even before going on holiday. Consider a pre-packaged vacation that includes meals, which limits the need to spend more money while on holiday. The Comfort Inn always offers a complimentary breakfast with your stay, ensuring cost-effective savings on your most important meal of the day! Most establishments in tourist destinations will charge you an obscene amount of money to crack open an egg and fry some bacon…and if you have a family of four, consider that a savings of close to, if not more, than $60. Navigate your way through their website and you will find additional package savings complete with meal vouchers at family friendly establishments such as Kelsey’s and Boston Pizza!
https://www.cliftonhill.com/niagara-falls-restaurants
Alleviate boredom!
From destination activities like theme parks, water parks and museums for the kids to shopping, tours and golf outings for the parents, you need to ensure a memorable and lively holiday. For families who prefer to stay on a resort than venture off property, a hotel with an indoor pool or games room could help offset a rainy day when the kids are forced to stay indoors. For everyone else, look to book with a hotel that is affiliated with or offers significant savings with many local attractions that you can ALL enjoy. If you are looking to book a trip to Niagara Falls, the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill offers just that…attraction savings off property such as the Greg Frewin Magic Show and the Niagara Helicopter Tours to hitting up five side-by-side attractions just a mere couple of minutes from each other with the Clifton Hill Fun Pass!

www.cliftonhill.com/packages/build-a-package-deals/helicopter-tour
Smartly Organize Your Packing
This one I can’t emphasize enough. Years ago when my husband moved back to Ontario from British Columbia with a few of his closest friends, he literally brought his entire wardrobe with him in one shot with the false understanding that he would be under the baggage weight. He was wrong. There he was, 15 minutes until boarding time throwing away sweaters, shoes and a few pairs of jeans all in the name of being under the required weight. If you have children, you know that traveling light is not an option. Make sure that you evenly distribute luggage weight. If you are 10 lbs over and your spouse is 10 lbs under in baggage weight…you know what to do. Transfer items from your suitcase to the other! And let’s be honest, it’s usually us women that carry all the “extras”…think curling irons, makeup, five different pairs of shoes “just in case” you find a need to finally wear those stilettos. You get the point. Make sure you check with your airline ahead of time regarding stroller and childseat guidelines as well. You don’t want any last minute surprises.
Share the excitement
Encourage kids of all ages to document their experiences with photos or diary entries.  Nominating them as the ‘official family photographer’ will not only keep them busy, but memories captured can then be shared on social media sites or in photo albums or framed pictures that can be hung in your home…and remember to have them tag their memories with the hotel or attraction of their choosing as well! They will appreciate the feedback and the response will ignite a sense of importance in your children as well. It’s a win-win.
Stay safe
Travelling is inherently risky, so the wise vacationer will take preventative precautions, including visiting a travel clinic that can set them up with prescriptions and antibiotics ahead of time. It’s always a good idea to have the whole family visit the doctor before you go, that way you can tackle ahead of time any preventative measures needed to avoid a potentially disastrous trip. When you check-in at the hotel, don’t be afraid to ask where the closest hospital is located, and if needed, have them supply you with a map. You may not think this will be necessary, but usually when you are on vacation you drink more and this will lower your inhibitions. That stair you so easily stepped up when you checked in may be a bomb waiting to detonate after a few alcoholic beverages. Also, carry a first aid kit with you. Bandaids, gauze, tweezers, whatever. You never know when you may need them. Stay safe and have fun!
Wherever you decide to go during your March Break getaway, follow these tips for a successful, stress-free, family FUN vacation! Enjoy and stay safe :).

Where to Eat on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls

Reading Time:  2 minutes -

So you have decided on a vacation to Niagara Falls (fabulous choice I may add) especially now that school is about to be back in session the streets of Clifton Hill are more easier to maneuver through.  If you are making your way to Niagara Falls don’t forget about the “Street of Fun by the Falls” known as Clifton Hill.  Recently quoted by a tourist I met who said “it’s like a mini kid friendly Las Vegas”, and I find that statement to be so true.  If you want a vacation filled with smiling kids you can’t go wrong with a round of  mini-put, a ride on the famous SkyWheel, or some fun in the Great Canadian Midway. There is never a boring moment for you and the family, and I know it can be a long day strutting up and down Clifton Hill so I have found some great spots for you to fill those bellies and re-energize the kiddies.  Check out these great places to eat right in all the action on Clifton Hill.

What an endless array of spots to eat, my girls and I love going to Boston Pizza for a few reasons, great food, friendly staff and did I mention it’s holds it’s own bowling alley called Strike Rock and Bowl, and tons of interactive and arcade games keeping the kids entertained while you wait for your food to arrive.  I definitely recommend any of the places you see in the pics, but if you do try out BP’s you have to go for their famous pepperoni pizza.  Kelsey’s has live entertainment daily, and all day too this spot is perfect to relax take your time and enjoy the views taking in all Clifton Hill has to offer.  If you just want to grab and go then Tim Horton’s or Wendy’s is the perfect spot for you.

Hot spot in Niagara Falls…Kelsey’s on Clifton Hill

In such a prime location on Clifton Hill I found Kelsey’s to be a great spot to eat when you are in Niagara Falls. If you are coming with the kids, or for a little romantic getaway you will likely find yourself on the corner of Clifton Hill and Victoria Ave where all the action is especially on these long summer nights. Kelsey’s changed their look and have gone with a much larger patio then they had before and even opened up the front so inside is like being outside. If you like to sit relax and listen to good music with a cold drink they have live entertainment every day and night, and this is a prime location to do some hilarious people watching…if you are into that sort of thing! They have lots of beer on tap, but one of my favourites is their spicy caesar yummmmmy! If the beverages don’t interest you the grubb is delicious. They can whip up everything from steak, to burgers, wings, pasta, and even calorie friendly meals, but if you are on vacation do me a favour and don’t watch your weight. The bar is lined with TV’s so for you guys who can’t stand to miss the game they have you covered, perfect for watching the Olympics going on right now in London England.
When you’re ready to take a break from the Niagara Falls crowd head to Kelsey’s it’s a great option and a good time, and if you are staying at the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill it is actually attached right to the hotel with easy access for guests.
