A favourite horror actor, a movie car with a sinister reputation, and a clown-filled ride after dinner: Niagara Falls has the makings of a very different October getaway.
Frightmare in the Falls returns October 23–25, 2026, at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre, 6815 Stanley Avenue. The three-day event brings together celebrity guests, horror exhibits, panels, collectibles and cosplay. Add an evening on Clifton Hill, and the scares can carry on after you leave the convention floor.

A Weekend of Horror at Frightmare in the Falls
There is more to Frightmare than collecting autographs. Browse the exhibitors, stop for a panel, and leave time for the displays that turn familiar screen nightmares into something you can inspect up close.
The announced 2026 guest lineup includes Peter Weller, Barbara Crampton, Lauren LaVera, Elliott Fullam, Jim Beaver, Mark Pellegrino, Richard Speight Jr., Julian Richings, Chandler Riggs, Seth Gilliam and Cooper Andrews. Amanda Bearse, Stephen Geoffreys, Jonathan Stark, Ari Lehman and Adrienne King are also listed. Check individual appearance days before choosing your ticket, particularly if meeting one guest is the reason for your trip.
Among the featured attractions are Christine, a screen-used Halloween station wagon, the Supernatural Impala “Baby,” and the Mad Max Interceptor. The Boris Karloff tribute pop-up museum and exhibits themed around The Walking Dead, Terrifier 3 and Stranger Things add more reasons to linger between scheduled sessions.

Clifton Hill: Keep the Horror Fun Going
Plan Clifton Hill as a separate stop after the convention, with time to travel between the Fallsview area and the Hill. Dinner followed by a few attractions makes a manageable evening; there is no need to squeeze every haunted doorway into one night.
Start with Movieland Wax Museum, where movie, television and music figures share the spotlight. Its optional House of Horrors gives horror fans another passage to explore, while anyone who has had enough scares can bypass that section.
At Carnival Chaos, sinister clowns, moving ride carts and interactive screens turn a haunted carnival into a target-blasting challenge. It suits visitors who like their scares mixed with motion and competition. Riders must be at least 42 inches tall. The score gives your group something to debate long after the clowns disappear.
Extend the Horror Fun
Nightmares Fear Factory, on Victoria Avenue near the top of Clifton Hill, keeps the evening focused on haunted-house thrills. Its fictional coffin-factory backstory sets the mood for visitors who want another spooky stop.
For a different kind of battle, Creepy Castle has replaced Zombie Attack. The indoor attraction combines motion seats, 3D visuals, wind effects and laser blasters as riders confront Lord Darkness and his undead army. This is medieval monster mayhem with a score to chase.
Ghost Blasters, inside the Great Canadian Midway, offers a lighter haunted adventure. Two-person cars travel through black-light scenes filled with ghosts and targets, making it a playful choice for companions who would rather zap the phantoms than brave another haunted house.
When the group needs a change of pace, Wizards’ Golf swaps horror for glowing fantasy. Its indoor, 18-hole course is filled with dragons, castles and colourful characters. A missed putt is about as dramatic as the evening needs to get.
Make a Weekend of It
Build your visit around the guest appearances, panels or photo sessions you most want to attend, then leave the evening flexible. Bring comfortable shoes and a layer for moving between indoor attractions on a cool October night. Check Clifton Hill attraction hours for your visit date.
For an adults-only option, the official Frightmare after-party is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, at the Fallsview Back Bar inside the Wyndham Fallsview Hotel, 6455 Fallsview Boulevard. Doors open at 8 p.m.; attendees must be 19 or older. Tickets are listed on the event’s official ticket page.
A convention day followed by a few Clifton Hill stops leaves room for both sides of the weekend: meeting the people behind the horror, then laughing with friends about who jumped, who screamed and who somehow finished with the highest score.
