Santa Claus is returning to visit with your little ones so that they can have their Christmas wish list ready! Bring your children to one of these Niagara locations for a special holiday picture. Safety precautions in place due to COVID protocols.

The Pen Centre (St. Catharines)

November 20th – December 24th, 2021

The Pen Centre Santa Claus visits are touchless. He is unable to hold infants or have kids on his knee. Your child(ren) may sit on their own, or with a family member or friend that will need to hold them in the photo on a bench 2 meters from Santa’s throne. Pictures will be taken at an angle that makes it appear that children are closer to Santa.

Monday to Saturday 10 am to 8 pm

Sunday 10 am to 5 pm

Christmas Eve 10 am to 4:30 pm

Guests may show up in person, or they may reserve a spot online.

Seaway Mall (Welland)

The Seaway Mall Santa visits are touchless. The Pen Centre

This back-to-school season, the Pen Centre will be hosting its second annual after-hours private shopping party in support of seven local charities. On
Saturday, September 10th from 7:30pm – 10:30pm the Pen Centre will open its doors for a night of exclusive one night only discounts, free giveaways, over $5,000 in door prizes, roaming entertainment and fashions throughout the mall.
The first 100 shoppers will get “Paid to Eat” when purchasing any item in the Pen Centre’s food court or at other food retailers (excluding Zehrs). Customers will receive the full value of the purchase, up to $15, back in Pen Centre Gift Cards!
As a proud supporter of over 100 charities in the Niagara Region, the Pen Centre will be giving back to the community by donating 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales directly to seven local charities. Last year’s event drew more than 2,700 shoppers and raised $14,590 for the participating charities.
Tickets are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. Local charitable partners include: Autism Ontario- Niagara Region Chapter, YWCA Niagara Region, Lincoln County Humane Society, Distress Centre Niagara, Education Foundation of Niagara, OneFoundation for Niagara Health System, and St. John Ambulance Niagara Region Branch.
Tickets are on sale now and are available for purchase through each participating non-profit group, as well as at the Pen Centre’s guest service desk. Each organization will keep all proceeds from tickets it sells, and will also receive an equal share of tickets sold at the mall.
“With Behind Closed Doors in its second year in the Niagara region we’re looking to double our attendance and funds raised for our local charitable partners,” says Helen Edwards, Marketing Director of the Pen Centre. “We’re looking forward to another unique shopping experience that is filled with great savings, fashions, prizing and entertainment. Throughout the evening, our stores will be offering exciting promotions such as free product, gifts with purchase and incredible sales just in time for back-to-school. Bass Pro Shops is geared to fishermen, boaters, hunters, campers, and the general nature lover. They have a vast array of fishing and boating equipment, outdoor cooking gear, footwear and nature-themed gifts — and all this just in time for Christmas. Bass Pro Shops in America’s leading outdoor retailer with stores all across America and just beginning to boom in Canada. Until now, Ontario had just one of these stores, situated in Vaughan. With the addition of this Niagara-on-the-Lake location (300 Taylor Rd. A#1, next to the Outlet Collection at Niagara), it’s just another exciting addition to come along to the vast complex with over 520,000 square feet of shopping at the Outlet Collection at Niagara. Bass Pro Shops: Niagara Grand Opening Details 

Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 

Bass Pro Shops will be hosting an “Evening for Conservation” event which will begin at 6:00 pm, with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 6:30 pm. Celebrity guest appearances, local conservation group educational booths and interactive displays. For every $1 spent in the store during this event, .50 cents will be donated to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Ducks Unlimited Canada, Trout Unlimited Canada, National Wild Turkey Federation of Canada, and Rocky Mountain Elk Federation of Canada.

Celebrity guests include: Wendel Clark, Owen Nolan, Jimmy Houston, Dave Mercer, Rob Keck, Kevin Beasley, Paul Beasley, Theresa Vail, Lance Thornton, and Luke Snyder.

“Santa’s Wonderland” will be introduced and opened as well. It offers a variety of crafts and goodies and a free photo with Santa. “Santa’s Wonderland” will remain open until Christmas Eve on Wednesday, December 24th, 2014, and the hours are Monday to Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 5 p.m.

On this first night, the first 125 children to visit Santa’s Village will receive a free prize!

This is the official Grand Opening day! Opening an hour earlier than usual at 8:00 am, they will have a variety of merchandise which will be given away to the first 200 customers. They will also welcome back some of the Wednesday evening celebrities in the morning.

Outlet Collection at Niagara: Newest Information

Reading Time:  4 minutes -The Outlet Collection at Niagara will be opening as scheduled for Thursday, May 15th, 2014 at 10:00 am — just in time for the Victoria Day weekend draw to Niagara Falls. This Grand Opening event will feature many discounts, with up to 50% off in some of their retail stores! Join Ronald McDonald & Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Mayor at 11:30 am for the McDonald’s Ribbon Cutting Ceremony where a McDonald’s coffee truck will be on-site all day giving away free coffee! There will also be balloon artists, face painting and a caricature artist for the children.

The new shopping centre adds 102 retailers to the large portion of land (520,000 square feet) at 300 Taylor Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake. This is to be Canada’s largest open-air outlet shopping centre. The Outlet Collection at Niagara has announced all their retailers, which will also include some big “first in Canada” outlet locations: Bass Pro Shops Outpost, Pandora Outlet and the White House Black Market Outlet.

The Outlet Collection at Niagara will really be making a focus on drawing tourism into Niagara-on-the-Lake, while also reducing cross-border shopping with keeping our locals in our city. Lord Mayor David Eke, told the St.Catharines Standard that “When we’re shopping here, the Outlets of Niagara will be the item that puts Niagara on the map”. It is expected that this new venture will draw in 6-8 million visitors per year, which is not only encouraging for the new outlet mall, but all our Niagara region businesses that will see some flow into their restaurants, attractions, hotels and other facilities, thus strengthening our local economy. It has also added close to 1500 full and part-time jobs to the region.

As of current, there is no public transportation that runs from Niagara Falls to the Outlet Collection at Niagara, however thanks to a sponsorship with Tommy Hilfiger, there is a complimentary FREE Shopping Shuttle that runs from Niagara Falls on there following Statutory long weekends. The shuttle fits 49 people and it is round-trip.

Shaw Festival 2014

Spring is the start of this season’s Shaw Festival. This Niagara-on-the-Lake theatre produces the works of Bernard Shaw and Shavian playwrights.
