Kids Clothing Stores in Niagara Falls at a Discount

Reading Time:  5 minutes -The weather is getting cooler and that means Fall is on the horizon! I was looking for kids clothing stores in Niagara Falls for CHEAP since my son is growing like a weed and I can’t justify spending a fortune on clothing he will outgrow in a matter of months. He needs basically a whole new wardrobe of Fall items, so I made it my mission to find a few places in Niagara Falls that offers what he needs at considerable discounts. If you are a local, you may want to add-on to this list, so please do so! List your suggestions in the comment section of this blog for other parents to share. Like I said, this is just a short list of kids clothing stores in Niagara Falls at a discount — if you are from the GTA, Kitchener/Waterloo area or just across the river, come and see what the Niagara region has to offer!

1) Once Upon A Child:

My all time favourite place to go for gently used kids clothing. You can barely tell that the clothes have been worn before and if you can, then they won’t accept them anyhow. They range in sizes from newborn to girl’s size 16 and boy’s size 18-20. Once Upon A Child has the latest in new and gently used brand name clothes, toys, books, equipment, and furniture. I’ve prurchased some really nice brand-name clothes there for super super cheap (like less than $6 per entire outfit!). They will give you money on the spot for your used children’s clothing and equipement as well. With Halloween coming up, it’s also the best place to find a costume for your child — and in most cases, the costume has only been worn the one time and only for a couple of hours, so shop early before they all go!

2) Carter’s Osh Kosh:

 Another favourite kids clothing store in Niagara Falls! The ad above says it all — I have found brand-new outfits here from pajamas and onesies to sweaters and jackets for less than $20. In most cases, I haven’t spent more than $15 per outfit and they are good quality items. Carter’s Osh Kosh is located in the Canada One Factory Outlet Mall on Lundy’s Lane. This mall is already the perfect place to shop for discounts and if you check out their promotions page, you will see a current list of stores offering speacial promotions at any given time. For example, from September 12th – September 18th, 2013 Adida’s is offering 50% off clearance items and Reebok is offering buy 1 get 1 at 50% off from September 6th – September 25th, 2013. Be sure to check there for kids items as well!

3) Fashion Outlets Niagara Falls:

This outlet mall is located just minutes from the Rainbow Bridge on the US side, and is totally worth the journey for some fantastic deals! Carter’s Childrenswear, Gymboree, Osh Kosh B Gosh and Children’s Place are just some of the kids clothing stores in Niagara Falls in this outlet mall. Items can be found up to 75% off and if you plan on staying the night in Niagara Falls, if you stay at the Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Hotel (just 5 minutes from the Rainbow Bridge), you will be offered a list of Build-A-Package options after you went through the online reservations option. Choose from a list of add-ons at a discount (such as the Clifton Hill Fun Pass at 50% off) and you will come across one that is a FREE add-on to your stay that is entitled “Fashion Outlets Niagara Falls New York”. Select this option to receive a discount savings card to use at participating stores at the Fashion Outlet Niagara Falls Mall. Savings go from 10%-20% off to $50 off at participating stores.

4) The Smiling Mom:

The Smiling Mom is a cute little place that is a Maternity and Children’s consignment shop.  They buy and sell gently worn maternity and nursing wear as well as breast pumps, nursing pillows, slings, gently worn children’s wear from newborn through size 16. Toys, baby accessories and equipment can also be found here. They are open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday’s from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. I especially like going to little places like this to help out independent owners and the local community.

5) Check out Mom to Mom sales!!

All over the Niagara Region!

Instead of heading to kids clothing stores in Niagara Falls, why not lend a helping hand to other mothers in the region and check out “mom to mom” sales? This is a super inexpensive way to purchase kids clothing and equipment for ridiculously cheap. Keep an eye open in your community for one near you, especially as we are heading into the Fall. Moms are trying to both get rid of Summer wear and they are also cleaning out their childrens closets for the Fall — so they are finding items in there from last Autumn that no longer fit their kids and want to get something for it. I checked the newspaper and Niagara This Week reports one going on this Saturday, September 21, 2013 in Beamsville at Great Lakes Christian High School located at 4875 King St., Beamsville. Click here for the article and information on the sale. This event is hosted by the Women’s Association for Vital Education Support (WAVES) group. You can also participate — there is a limited number of tables available. Tables start at $25.

The Niagara Falls Outlet Mall located at 7500 Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls has some fantastic sales on an everyday basis. The “Canada One Factory Outlets” contain 40 brand name stores and because it’s located within the prime tourism district, this Niagara Falls Outlet Mall has extended hours on the weekends and it is open on holidays as well!

The Canada One Niagara Falls Outlet Mall has sales and specials frequently and year round. Tent sales are huge in the Summer months and there is a biggie coming up from August 16th-25th! You can load up on some major essentials, but in the meantime with the July 12-21st tent sale finalized there are still many stores where the sales continue and other stores with sales just starting up! Currently, stores like Reebok, Nine West, Levi’s, Phantom Outlet, Rockport, Stokes, Tanjay N Alia, Jones New York and Couture Parfums are participating in a number of sales — click here for details.


Getting to the Niagara Falls Outlet Mall is easy to get to and it’s a straight 5 minute drive from the Niagara Falls and Clifton Hill tourist district:
From Toronto : Take the Q.E.W. west to Niagara Exit at Lundy’s Lane. Make left at Montrose Rd., then left at Lundy’s Lane.
From Buffalo and Fort Erie Peace Bridge : Q.E.W. to Niagara Falls. Exit at Lundy’s Lane ( Follow signs to Lundy’s Lane). Left at Montrose Rd., then left at Lundy’s Lane.
From Rainbow Bridge : HWY 420 to the Lundy’s Lane exit. Left at Montrose Rd. Left at Lundy’s Lane.
Of course, the convenience of shopping in a city catered to tourism is the extended hours of Niagara Falls shopping. When the Niagara Falls Outlet Mall closes, head back to the “Street of Fun by the Falls” and shop some more on Clifton Hill! Due to the late night Summer closures of attractions such as the Niagara Skywheel, Dinosaur Adventure Golf and the Great Canadian Midway being 2:00am — not to mention the adjoining Boston Pizza establishment open late, the Clifton Hill retail stores stay open as well for your convenience!
Stores such as the Canada Trading Company carries a unique selection of collectibles and gifts from figurines and jewellery to artwork and clothing for all ages.
