Winter Festival of Lights mobile download
The Ontario Power Generation Winter Festival of Lights is very excited to introduce something new for its guests this year. Introducing the completely FREE Winter Festival of Lights mobile download!
This mobile application allows the festivities to be right at your fingertips. It is available through the Apple iOS and Android platforms. It provides users with a complete guide to getting the most out of their time at the Winter Festival of Lights.
By using this application, you will find information on WFOL events taking place, including the various dates, times, and locations. The application has features that will help visitors navigate the WFOL 5+ KM illumination route with maps of the six lighting areas and an image gallery. An additional helpful feature for all the out-of-towners, lists the nearby attractions, restaurants, and hotels geo-located in the Apps map function. The application also comes with a camera function with three photo borders for taking pictures or selfies at the Winter Festival of Lights.
There is an exciting contest built into the App —  the WFOL Photo Hunt Contest! This is open for entries beginning on the opening night of the festival. Just download the App and capture a photo of a WFOL display in each of the six illumination areas, then submit your photo’s using the App’s contest feature.
Attendees are encouraged to share their photos and moments on social media by using the hashtag #WFOLlive. Posts with this hashtag will become part of the social hub on the Festival’s website:

“With each passing season we notice more of our visitors that drive through Dufferin Islands with passengers using their cell phone for taking pictures and videos of the lights”, said Tina Meyers, Program Director of the Winter Festival of Lights. “The Festival’s free mobile application provides visitors all the information they need in the palm of their hands.”
