Hornblower Niagara Cruises

Hornblower Niagara Cruises is an intimate boat tour that takes you within the basin of the Horseshoe Falls for incredible pictures of Canada’s natural wonder. Couples all around the world choose the Hornblower for an adventurous and exciting boat ride on Victoria Day weekend — May 19th is the first day of the season that they begin their evening Falls Fireworks tours.

Whirlpool Jet Boats

It will be a date to remember! At Whirlpool Jet Boats you’ll speed along the Lower Niagara River at 80 km/h while a river guide tells you all about some Niagara history, local points of interest as well as the mechanics of the jet boat that you are touring in. 31,000 lbs. of thrust from the jet boat, vanquishes the mighty Class 5 whitewater of the Devil’s Hole Rapids and the swirling waters of the Whirlpool. There’s no better way for couple’s to add some excitement (and get soaked!) on your trip to Niagara.

Visit A Winery

Niagara-on-the-Lake features many wineries nestled below the Niagara Escarpment with gorgeous vineyards and orchards that stretch from the picturesque Niagara River Parkway. All are worth visiting for a wine tasting on their own, or every weekend in May (including over the Victoria Day weekend) is the “Sip & Sizzle” event. Over 20 wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake will each offer a unique grilled food and VQA wine pairing.

Ride In A Helicopter

The Niagara Helicopters offers a couple the ride of a lifetime inside a helicopter with large windows for the most astonishing photos of the Falls and the entire surrounding landscape. On a clear day you will be able to witness the outline of Toronto to the North and the shores of Lake Erie to the South. The ride lasts 12 minutes (including boarding time).

Clifton Hill

Where else can a couple have the ultimate date night than on Clifton Hill? Fun attractions will surround you, including romantic views on the Niagara SkyWheel, an outdoor patio with free live entertainment at KELSEYS, bowl all night until 2:00 am at Strike! Rock N Bowl inside Boston Pizza, and finish the evening off with the Victoria Day fireworks show!

Fallsview Casino Resort

The Fallsview Casino Resort is a $1 billion gaming complex that offers a beautiful view of the Falls, a shopping plaza, a hotel, spa, plus you can both take in the a show at the Avalon Ballroom where some of the world’s top entertainers perform. From May 16th to the 27th, the four-time Tony Award Winning Musical “Pippin” will play at various times at the Fallsview Casino. It’s a great show for a couple to enjoy!

Go Ziplining!

Niagara’s newest attraction, WildPlay’s MistRider to the Falls, is an amazing rush that soars high and fast above the gorge from the Grand View Marketplace (located at the bottom of Clifton Hill and the Niagara Parkway) towards the Niagara Falls. Side-by-side lines will descend a distance of 670 metres (2200 feet) from the Grand View Marketplace into the Niagara Gorge below.

Lastly, Go For A Hike!

Niagara is full of nature and beautiful untouched spots to go with your significant other on a hike. The Niagara Glen is popular hot spot which overlooks the Niagara River Whirlpool, and is definitely worth a visit for hiking enthusiasts.
