Fall Events in Niagara Falls: Clifton Hill Restaurants & Nightlife

Reading Time:  4 minutes -

The month may almost be over, but there’s still plenty going on for Fall events in Niagara Falls — especially on Clifton Hill.
Join us at Rumours Night Club this Thursday, October 31st for our annual Halloween bash! This year’s theme? “Exotic, Erotic”! Men, you dress up in your best exotic costume and ladies, your theme is erotic! Best costume wins $500 cold, hard cash! Best of all? It’s free cover! DJ Oz E spins the tunes all night long! Every year the party gets bigger and better than ever — and this Halloween will be no different. Definitely be sure to check this one off as one of your must-see Fall events in Niagara Falls! Here are just a few pictures from last year’s event — and remember, every weekend there is a photographer on hand to take your picture. Be sure to find her and tag your photo off the Rumours Facebook Page!

If you can’t make Rumours on Thursday, no worries because it’s redemption time at Boston Pizza Clifton Hill on Friday, November 1st! Halloween continues with Boston Pizza’s “Day After Halloween” celebration! $4 Jager shots, $5 Pumpkin Ale and lots of prizes to be won…so don’t retire the costume just yet! This Boston Pizza is also one of the largest sports bars in Niagara Falls, so catch your favourite game on one of the many big screen tv’s. Unsure what game is on? No problem. We have the daily sports action listings on our website! Click here to check out what game is playing on a week-to-week basis under our “Calender of Events”. And just like Rumours, Boston Pizza Clifton Hill has our weekend nightly photographer on hand to snap your picture and upload it in an album on the Boston Pizza Clifton Hill Facebook Page. Tag, tag, tag away — and you never know if she has a prize to throw your way! ;).

New this month is “Win-Win Tuesday’s”! Every Tuesday night during the Leafs game, Boston Pizza Clifton Hill is where you need to be! If they win, than great — we all feel good! If they lose, you still win with a free pizza on us!

If you are looking for a place a little more low-key, than check out Kelsey’s Clifton Hill and their new menu items just in time for Fall. Situated right on the corner of Clifton Hill and Victoria Av., it’s totally encompassed by windows for people watching and viewing all the excitement and entertainment on the hill.

Kelsey’s has just introduced their “Meet the Meats” menu. Catered specifically for the meat lover, this menu doesn’t disappoint! The “BIG WHAT” Stuffed Burger is a popular favourite which includes double stacked sirloin patties, bacon, goat cheese, caramelized onions, apple butter BBQ sauce and crispy onion strings, served with crispy fries for $14.99.
My personal favourite addition to this menu which gets 2 big thumbs up is the “Messy Beef Sandwich”. OMG!!! So delicious, give it a try! AAA beef piled high with caramelized onions, Cajun dusted onion strings, jalapeno monterey jack cheese and house-made horseradish beer mustard on a toasted pretzel bun and served with crispy fries for $13.99.
*Messy Beef Sandwich….so ******* good! lol*
There are so many options on this menu for both lunch and dinner, so just click here for the full menu.
Perhaps best of all is Kelsey’s new “kicked up” bar promotion. Come to our Clifton Hill location and we will top up your draught beer for only .99 cents (5 oz. for domestics, 3 oz. for all others) and top up your martinis for only $2.50 (10 oz.)! So basically (at least the way I look at it), if there is 12 ounces of beer in a single standard bottle of beer, 2 “kicked up” draught beers would just cost you $2 for almost a full bottle of domestic beer. I can’t remember the last time I had a bottle of beer for $2!! Any way you look at it, that’s one heck of a deal!
So, with the Fall season upon us, there is still plenty of Fall events in Niagara Falls on Clifton Hill to take part in at our restaurants and Rumours Night Club — and more to come! Stay connected to me for more restaurant specials and events! 🙂

Howell’s Family Pumpkin Farm

Where to begin? Bring the entire family to Howell’s Family Pumpkin Farm located at 2878 Holland Rd., in Fonthill. Everyone is only $5.95+tax to enter with the exception of children 2 and under being FREE. What is there to do here? LOTS. For starters, who doesn’t want to take advantage of pumpkin slingshot?? Wagon rides, a corn maze, rubber ducky races, a haunted spooky barn, zombie graveyard, haystack jumping, viewing an animal farm and of course pumpkin picking are just some of the things to do at Howell’s! Check out this video:

Haunt Manor

Located at 9387 Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls at Campark, Haunt Manor is NOT recommended for children under the age of 8, so keep little Johnny at home for this one. Through the Battle of 1812, this legitimately haunted house was inhabited by the Pew family. The house is over 200 years old and when the family mysteriously disappeared several years after the war, sightings of paranormal activity became rampant at this address. Today, a series of haunted houses and hayrides are offered on this property and was voted #1 in Ontario for the best haunted attraction and hayride facility. There are 9 frightening attractions and its open weekends until November 1st. Hours are 7pm-11pm and Sunday’s 7-10pm.
Fort George Ghost Tours

Niagara-on-the-Lake is commonly referred to as the most haunted town in Canada due to its history and battles on the land. The most prevalent tales of paranormal activity surround Fort George.   There have been hundreds of reports of ghost sightings here ranging from the benevolent spirit of a little girl named Sarah Ann to a more ominous presence simply known as “The Watcher”. The Fort George Ghost Tours is the longest-running ghost walk in the Niagara Region. Candlelight ghost tours of Fort George are offered on October 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 30th and 31st. The tours start at 7:00, 7:15 and 7:30pm and resume at 10:00, 10:15 and 10:30pm. If you are interested in purchasing tickets for these Niagara Falls Halloween events at Fort George, please call 905-468-6621.
Warner Ranch and Pumpkin Farm

Okay, back to kid-friendly Niagara Falls Halloween events LOL! Warner Ranch and Pumpkin Farm offers pumpkins of every shape and size as well as corn stalks, apples, squash and Indian corn to complete your Fall and Halloween decorating needs. They are open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm and it is FREE to enter. For the kiddies, there is a petting zoo, pony rides and a corn maze for $2 each. Belgian horse-drawn hay rides are also available on weekends only, from 10:00am to 4:00pm for $2 as well. Not recommended for younger children, there is also a haunted hayride held October 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th with the first ride going out at 7:00 pm with the last ride departing at 10:45 pm.
Of course, you can head to Clifton Hill year-round for a good fright! Haunted houses such as the House of Frankenstein, Dracula’s Haunted Castle, the Haunted House, Screamers Niagara and the immensely popular Nightmares Fear Factory are all good fun and are all located right in the heart of the tourism district on Clifton Hill and Victoria Avenue.

Kids and adults will both love the Ghostblasters Dark Ride located in the Great Canadian Midway, where you head through a black-lit haunted hotel in a car on a track. Play against an opponent with laser guns and shoot ghosts and targets for bragging rights and a “spooky” good time! Upgrade to the Clifton Hill Fun Pass and get an additional 4 attractions on Clifton Hill plus tokens for the arcade at half the retail value!

There is a plethora of exciting Niagara Falls Halloween events this month to take advantage of — be sure to visit any (or all!) of these attractions this Halloween 2013!

Grant Marshall, former NHL player, on Clifton Hill!

Reading Time:  3 minutes -

Grant Marshall, the retired NHL Canadian hockey player (active from 1990-2008) was on Clifton Hill last weekend and made an appearance at Boston Pizza Clifton Hill and Rumours Night Club! Grant Marshall currently works on behalf of the Devils Alumni Association, and in the past has played for the Dallas Stars, Columbus Blue Jackets and the New Jersey Devils. He was drafted 23rd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1992 NHL entry draft, he’s played 700 career NHL games, scoring 92 goals and 147 assists for 239 points. He scored the series goal in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning in triple overtime and Grant Marshall has his name engraved on the Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars in 1999 and with the New Jersey Devils in 2003.

Little was known last weekend why he was on Clifton Hill visiting us, but his appearance caused a welcome uproar among his surprised fans and spectators. Easily approachable and kind-hearted, one lucky fan at Boston Pizza got to wear his Stanley Cup ring — and of course, we took a picture!

The secret is out! Grant Marshall will be teaming up with Sinead Kerr, the retired (since 2011) Scottish figure skater who represented Great Britain, on the 4th season of the Battle of the Blades, shot in Toronto! Sinead teamed up with her brother John Kerr in 2000 and went on to to become two-time European bronze medalists in 2009 and 2011 and British national champions from 2004-2010. They placed 10th at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy and 8th at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
 *Sinead Kerr and John Kerr*
Battle of the Blades, if you haven’t seen it, began Sunday, September 22nd, 2013 and continues Sunday’s at 8:00pm. The show combines athletes from hockey and figure skating,  such as Grant Marshall and Sinead Kerr, in pairings of 8 and these accomplished and graceful figure skating professionals must try and turn the not-so-delicate hockey players into ice skating champs. Ron MacLean and Kurt Browning host the show, and each week a pairing gets voted off based on viewership votes. The winners compete for charity.
Grant had a blast on Clifton Hill and let us know that he would be back shortly to visit us again — we look forward to having you back and we will have a seat reserved for you at Boston Pizza anytime! Since Grant is such a fan of Clifton Hill and our restaurants and nightlife, let’s show our support to him and Sinead and cast your vote for Team Sinead & Grant!!! If you haven’t been to the two favourite Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls hangouts of Grant Marshall, take a sneak peak at our video:

Rumours Night Club in Niagara Falls

Reading Time:  < 1 minute

Sorry kids this is an adult only attraction! Rumours Night Club is located on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls and boasts one of Ontario’s hosttest light shows. Luckily they let me in with the camera to see what all the hype was about, and by about 12am I knew exactly why it’s where everyone goes to let loose. The dance floor is huge, and no shortage of bars to grab a drink. After my night in there I would say it’s a great spot to end your night. Friday is ladies night, and Saturday’s DJ rocks the house!
