A Safari Adventure in Niagara Falls

There’s a new ride this year as part of our Clifton Hill Fun Pass, called Safari Adventure! it is the new film featured in our XD Theater, a multi-seat 6D motion simulator ride that provides an intense realistic experience. If you have yet to try out our XD Theater, it combines modern FX technology that includes fully immersive stereoscopic imaging, realistic motion that can vary from gentle murmurs to intense trembles, plus intense wind and lighting effects.

The Safari Adventure film, which is located inside the Great Canadian Midway, takes the viewer on an incredible life-like journey through the wilderness on this edge of your seat Safari Adventure. Do up your seatbelt to experience a ride like no other, or if you wish for the non-motion version without losing the 3D effect, than don’t bother to do up your seatbelt and the seats will not move. Keep the glasses on though!

This ride is individually priced at $6.99+tax for Adults and $4.99+tax for Children, or you can purchase it as part of the Clifton Hill Fun Pass, which combines the XD Theatre along with 4 other family fun attractions: the Niagara SkyWheel, Movieland Wax Museum, Ghostblasters Dark Ride and  Galaxy Golf or Dinosaur Adventure Golf (*open seasonally). You will also receive some bonus tokens with your Fun Pass to play any game of your choosing inside the Great Canadian Midway. If you still can’t get enough of the Safari Adventure 6D Ride, then you will love another game provided in the Great Canadian Midway from the same manufacturers of the film — called “Typhoon”! It’s a 2-seater experience to remember with up to 2G’s of acceleration and 400 movements!

Our Clifton Hill Fun Pass retails for $25.95 for Adults and $19.95 for Children. Purchase it online and you will receive an additional ride on the Niagara SkyWheel free of charge. Simply print off your printed confirmation with bar code and bring it to any of the attractions listed on the FUN PASS and we will provide you with all the passes in your order. It is recommended you come to the first SkyWheel booth on the right for quicker service.

New XD Theater 6D Motion Experience opens in Niagara Falls
The fun and excitement never stops on Clifton Hill!
HOCO Entertainment and Resorts has partnered with TrioTech Amusements, a leading manufacturer of multi-sensory interactive attractions, to bring the first ever curved screen XD Theater 6D motion ride experience to Niagara Falls.

Touted as the most technologically advanced motion actuator system in the world, the XD Theater is an intense virtual experience, heightened by sound, wind and lighting effects. Riders are provided with a variety of breathtaking adventures with fully immersive stereoscopic imaging, realistic motion with up to 2 G’s of acceleration, custom seats that shift 400 movements per second, intense wind and dazzling light effects.

Currently featuring the Cosmic Coaster movie, guests can enjoy a futuristic feature that takes them on a high-speed roller coaster ride with death-defying leaps through far-off galaxies and cavernous mountains. Strapped into an individual motion-based seat that dips, dives and swirls through outer space, riders dodge meteors and explore strange planets before coming to a thrilling stop.

The XD Theater can be found inside the Great Canadian Midway entertainment complex near the bottom of Clifton Hill.  Single admission is $6.99 for adults and $4.99 for children.  It is also featured in the Clifton Hill FUN PASS, which showcases 5 different attractions including the SkyWheel, Canada’s Largest Giant Wheel, for $25.95 per adult and $19.95 for children.  People sensitive to movement can unhook their belts to stop the motion in a fixed position.
