Catch a concert!
If you are looking for things to do in Niagara Falls for Valentine’s Day specifically, Michael Bolton will be hitting the stage at Fallsview Casino at 9:00pm on the 14th, as well as the 15th. TD Rink at the Brink
The TD Rink at the Brink is an open-air, outdoor ice skating rink located a snowball’s throw from the Horseshoe Falls, offering breathtaking views and a magical outdoor Niagara Falls ice skating experience, which is on now until February 28, 2014. The Butterfly Conservatory is located on the grounds of the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, just 10 minutes north of the Falls. Over 2,000 butterflies, made up of 45 different species, call this beautiful space home. Explore 180 metres of pathways winding through a lush, tropical environment.
February 8th to May 11, 2014 the Butterfly Conservatory opens a new exhibit called the “Swamp Creatures”. This is excellent for children to engage in hands-on learning, fun and view live demonstrations with creatures from the world’s swamps and wetlands.
Always a family favourite, the Bird Kingdom is offering a half price discount in January and February (Monday to Friday).
It is the largest free-flying indoor aviary in the world with more than 400 birds that make their home in this multi-level rainforest setting. There is a 40-foot waterfall, tropical plants, and hundreds of birds from around the world that put on a show for the public.

Greg Frewin Theatre
He is known around the world as “The International Grand Champion of Magic”. Greg Frewin‘s “Imagine” Magic Show is a spectacular performance by a world renown magician, featuring an appearance by a rare tiger. Your imagination will be captivated and you will be amazed beyond belief — the entire family will be on the edge of their seat!

Of course Niagara’s hot spot on Clifton Hill, Rumours Nightclub, has two special events lined up for both Valentine’s Day and Family Day if you are looking for some things to do in Niagara Falls for friends and couples over the long weekend!
On Friday to kick-off the Family Day long weekend and Valentine’s Day, ladies are free cover all night at Rumours Nightclub! Open until 2:00 am, it’s the ideal stop on Clifton Hill after heading out for dinner for a place to relax, unwind and have a great time.
And who says Sunday’s are no fun? Everyone is free all night long on Sunday, February 16th to keep the Family Day long weekend excitement in full swing! There is always something going on in Niagara’s destination of choice for club goers.
Family Day at the Niagara Falls History Museum:
On Monday, February 18th, 2014 the Niagara Falls History Museum (located at 5810 Ferry Street), will participate in FREE activities for the entire family from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Admission to the Museum on this day is free and families can explore the galleries, enjoy entertainment and demonstartions, and take part in the activities related to the current exhibition in the OPG Temporary Gallery titled “Space”, which features a moon rock and a portable planetarium StarLab.
Entertainment includes musicians and a magician. There will also be scavenger hunts and quizzes to fill out for the kids.
