Fort Erie Friendship Festival 2013
Located just minutes from Niagara Falls, the Fort Erie Friendship Festival has successfully been active since 1987, uniting Canadian and American culture with the intention of creating a united front influenced by the War of 1812.
The Fort Erie Friendship Festival continues and maintains its mission statement:
To promote an international Friendship Festival celebrating the good relations between Canada and the United States of America since the end of the War of 1812.
To support and promote better relations between Canada and the USA.
To support and promote the economic development of the Region of Niagara South in general, and the Town of Fort Erie in particular.
To support and promote tourism and cultural activities.
Where is it located?
The Fort Erie Friendship Festival is located at Mather Arch in Fort Erie. From the QEW heading towards the Peace Bridge, take the last exit “Central Avenue” and turn right. From Buffalo, go across the Peace Bridge and take “Central Avenue” exit (right under the Central Avenue overpass).

The Fort Erie Friendship Festival runs from Friday, June 28th to Monday, July 1st and features many activities. Vendors, lots of food, a Midway and a great line up of entertainment is featured! Friday marks the opening day with the festival opening at 11:00 am. Entry is FREE to get in, but if you would like to partake in the Midway activities it is as follows:
Friday, June 28th: sold from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm $30 all day pass (ride until CLOSE)
Saturday, June 29th: sold from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm $25 all day pass (ride until 7:00 pm) OR “Teenage Midnight Madness” $17 and ride from 9:00 pm – Midnight
Sunday, June 30th: sold from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm $28 all day pass (ride until CLOSE)
Monday, July 1st: CANADA DAY! sold from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm $26 all day pass (ride until CLOSE)

“Festival’s Got Talent Showcase!
If you have an individual talent, or a talent as a group, you have the chance to compete in the Fort Erie Friendship Festival talent search, “Festival’s Got Talent”! From noon until 6:00 pm on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th you will showcase your talent(s) and the winners of that day’s competition will be announced at the end of each day. The final competition round will be from noon until 4:00 pm on Monday, July 1st in which the Grand Prize Winner plus 3 runner-ups will be declared and presented with cash, a trophy, and will perform as the opening act for the Canada Day concert venue. This year is an amazing concert line-up of bands! They are as follows:
Beginning at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 28th, 2013:
JC & the Riddim Kings, XPrime, Under the Influence and Stone River.

Beginning at 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 29th, 2013:
Crutch, Jeff Brown, Guilty Pleasures, Desire (International U2 tribute) and Thunderstruck (North America’s #1 tribute to AC/DC).

Beginning at 6:00 pm on Sunday, June 30th, 2013:
Opening Ceremony and Heidi Joshua, the Red Sands, Lambs Become Lions and Amber Reigns.

Beginning at 6:00 pm on Monday, July 1st, 2013:
Paul Brady, Festival’s Got Talent Finalists, Friendship Festival Singers Showcase, followed by the night’s Fireworks and finally an open karaoke opportunity!
Friendship Festival is looking for volunteers!
Friendship Festival relies on more than 200 volunteers to assist in the running of the festival. Make new friends, learn new skills and have fun by taking part in an amazing venue! There are a number of volunteer opportunities from parking attendants to bartending.
