There is something exciting coming to the new Meridian Centre in St.Catharines — the Skate Niagara Ice Show!
The Meridian Centre just recently opened its doors when the Belleville Bulls visited the Niagara IceDogs at its first official opening event on October 16th, 2014. This new multi-purpose facility is located in the heart of the St.Catharines downtown core and is the new home for the Niagara IceDogs. It is also a facility for various other entertainment acts, conventions and events. Holding a capacity of up to 4500 fans for hockey games and 6000 people for concerts, this is why it was chosen as the perfect location for this first-ever skating show to this arena.
The inaugural Skate Niagara Ice Show has brought together a star-studded ensemble of Canada’s Olympic and World Champion skating icons who will hit the ice for a night of entertainment and artistry on January 30th, 2015 starting at 7:30 pm. Stars such as our hometown favourite Kirsten Moore-Towers and partner Michael Marinaro, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Kurt Browning, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje, and Nam Nguyen. Emmy Award Winning Choreographer Sandra Bezic is set to Produce and Direct the performance that will be sure to dazzle and amaze everyone of all ages!

“We’re thrilled to be able to bring a world-class skating show to Niagara, at a fantastic new spectator facility like the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines,” said show owner and promoter Nick Ricci. “We expect this will be the first of many skating shows of this caliber that we can present for skating fans from across the region.”
