50th Anniversary of the Niagara Children’s Centre event:

PD Day

The Niagara Children’s Centre “is recognized throughout the Niagara Region as the provider of rehabilitation and support services to children and youth with physical, developmental and communicative delays and disabilities”, and on Friday, June 6th, they will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary with an open house for the Niagara community. Free refreshments will be available, along with entertainment for all ages and tours of the Centre. This event runs from 1:00pm – 7:00pm (see poster above for location and schedule of events).

Niagara Falls Comic Con!

Niagara Falls Comic Con

All kids like comics and superheroes! Friday, June 6th is the beginning of the Niagara Falls Comic Con taking place at the Scotiabank Convention Centre. It runs all weekend long, but on Friday, June 6th the doors open at 4:00pm and it runs until 9:00pm. The best part? Kids ages 10 and under are FREE (with a paying Adult). Gets the kids psyched up early for this event by having them dress up in their favourite superhero costume or watch their favourite superhero movie, and then take them down for when the doors open at 4:00pm.

For more information on this event go to www.nfcomiccon.com.

Parks, Playgrounds and Recreation Areas in Niagara Falls

PD Day in Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls is fully stocked with many spots for children to release their energy on beautiful sunny days, and the Niagara Parks specifically is full of scenic areas to picnic, BBQ and have fun throughout the entire length of the Niagara River. There are secluded scenic lookouts convenient to parking, benches and picnic tables, where you can take a break from your leisurely drive on the Parkway, or from hiking or biking the Niagara River Recreation Trail.

These spots include: MacFarland Point Park, Queenston Heights Park,  Kingsbridge Park, Dufferin Islands, the Niagara Glen, and many more!

Niagarafalls.ca is an amazing source for finding parks in this region, whether it be for playgrounds, splash pads, finding a track/basketball court, and for trails. Click here and check mark the fields that interest your child the most, and find your location easily!
