Niagara Falls, ON – The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) and its New Year's Eve event partners are pleased to announce an exciting roster of musical talent has been assembled for this year’s FREE New Year's concert in Queen Victoria Park. On December 31st, NPC and its partners will welcome legendary rockers STYX, Canadian icons Glass Tiger, up and coming Canadian talent and winner of this summer's inaugural youDiscover music competition Moeraes Fate, and Robyn Dell' Unto to the stage beginning at 8 p.m. to entertain and rock in the New Year.

This Free New Year’s concert in Queen Victoria Park (QVP) draws approximately 30,000 people to the Park, and this year is expected to be no different, so come out and celebrate with us and enjoy two spectacular fireworks displays planned for 9 p.m. and midnight that evening. If you can’t make it out to QVP, live television coverage of this spectacular show and event will be broadcast on Global Television and Entertainment Tonight Canada . This outdoor celebration also features food and beverage vendors, as well as an outdoor licensed area. As always, the presence of security and policing will be on-site to ensure everyone’s safety throughout the night.

“New Year’s Eve is one of Niagara Falls’ busiest and best nights of the year,” said NPC Chairman, Jim Williams. “Our thanks go out to stakeholders for their continued commitment to another three years of holding this widely popular celebration. It is exciting to see the whole city coming alive, as Niagara provides more to do than anywhere else in Canada on this special night. Visitors and residents alike should come on down and enjoy our entire tourism district in full swing – from great music in Queen Victoria Park to high-energy gaming at the Casino Niagara and Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort; from the family fun of Clifton Hill to our romantic restaurants and spectacular hotel getaways, Niagara is the place to be on New year’s Eve,” Williams added.

ET Canada Rings In 2010 With 'New Year's Eve In Niagara Falls'

Global Television and Entertainment Tonight Canada welcome 2010 with 'New Year's Eve in Niagara Falls', a fun-filled evening in celebration of the coming year.

The nationwide fete is an ET Canada first and will kick off with a 90-minute live broadcast from the Falls on Thursday, December 31 beginning at 11pm ET/PT on Global. ET Canada's Rick Campanelli, Kim D'Eon, Rosey Edeh and Roz Weston will lead the countdown and 'rock in' the New Year with special performances by legendary rockers STYX and the multiple Juno Award-winning and Grammy-nominated, Glass Tiger.

Event partners include: The Niagara Parks Commission, The City of Niagara Falls, Fallsview Tourist Area, Ontario Lottery Gaming, Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, Victoria Centre Tourist Area, Clifton Hill Tourist Area, VIA Rail and other stakeholders within the city.
