he City of Niagara Falls encourages Niagara Falls residents to take extra caution in these extreme cold temperatures. They have released these facilites listed as Niagara Falls warming centres.
The following sites are available to anyone that needs a place to keep warm during these extreme cold temperatures.
*Gale Centre: Open daily from 6 am to 1 am (5152 Thorold Stone Road)
*MacBain Community Centre: Open daily from 5:30 am to 10:00 pm (7150 Montrose Road)
*Niagara Falls City Hall: Open Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 am (4310 Queen Street)
*Coronation 50 Plus Recreation Centre: Open Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 am (5925 Summer Street)
*Any Branch of the Niagara Falls Public Library:
OVERNIGHT EMERGENCY SHELTER
**An overnight emergancy shelter has been established at the Salvation Army (5720 Dorchester Road) for Thursday, January 4th, Friday, January 5th, and Saturday, January 6th, 2018. This will be available to those that need it from 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.
