"Fort George was the headquarters for the British military in Niagara during the War of 1812. It saw active service, was bombarded and destroyed, rebuilt, and then left to fall into ruin after the war. The town of Niagara-on-the-Lake was not only turned into a battlefield during the war, but also put to the torch as the Americans retreated back to the States." A guaranteed recipe for ghostly stories.
Ghost tours of Fort George are offered throughout the summer, from May to September and in October, at Hallowe’en. During the evening you will hear a score of ghostly accounts as well as being introduced to the history of Fort George and the surrounding area.
Visit the most haunted place in the most haunted town at the most haunting time of year!
We highly recommend these tours to all visiting ghost enthusiasts.

Hallowe’en Tour
Hallowe’en is the time of year when the supernatural powers of the universe are at their most powerful, and the barrier between this world and the next is at its weakest. Who can guess what might cross over next.
Join us for an exploration of the scariest aspects of haunted Fort George. The 2 hour walking tour includes stories too frightening to be told on the summer tours, and opens a building (the Officers’ Quarters) usually off limits to the Ghost Tour.

For the Hallowe’en Tours

  1. Bring the kids on the summer tours when we take a lighter approach.
  2. The end of October is cold! We try to keep you indoors as much as possible, but there’s a lot of open space in Fort George. Dress warmly.
  3. Wear comfortable footwear. It’s dark at this time of the year, and the tour does cover some uneven ground.

And Most Importantly...
There are only 1260 tickets!
Order your tickets as soon as possible.
Don’t miss it!
