The Niagara Flower and Garden Show benefits the not-for-profit activities of the Master Gardeners of Ontario and the horticultural programs of the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture. This show is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2006. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear first-rate speakers, see "hands-on" demonstrations, and buy garden-related items, plants and other "must haves" from the over 100 vendors who will be in attendance. This outdoor garden show will be held on June 9, 10 & 11 2006 at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens. Visitors will be able to walk the paths and take in the beauty of the Rose Garden, the Annual Display Garden, the Vegetable Garden, the Herb Garden and the Arboretum. A highlight of the show will be a botanical and contemporary music show.

The Niagara region is inhabited by an unusually high ratio of gardeners, and it is also home to most of the growers in Ontario. Best of all, it will be held in the middle of the planting season, so any plants purchased can be safely planted as soon as they get to their new homes. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear first-rate speakers, see hands-on demonstrations, and buy garden related items as well as plants from over 100 vendors who will be in attendance. On site there will be a Standard Flower Show hosted by the Garden Club of Niagara, which will include cut flowers, flowering branches, potted plants as well as a veriety of floraldesigns.
