Red Bull Crashed Ice Events Niagara Falls 2012!

Clifton Hill… at the center of all the Red Bull Crashed Ice Events
We remember many a brisk winter’s day playing ‘Bull Dog’ at the local rink. All the kids lined up up at one end of the rink with the kid who was ‘it’ at center. On the holler of “Bull Dog”, we’d all rush down the rink, blades flashing, trying to avoid being tagged out by the ‘it’ kid. Amidst the chaos of the rush, there always seemed to be at least one spectacular crash. At the time, it seemed like a pretty risky game. Of course compared to the dramatic on-ice extravaganza that is Red Bull Crash Ice, our game of Bull Dog could be compared to playing ‘Go Fish’.
And now, the 2013 Red Bull Crashed Ice Tour is coming to Niagara Falls,  November 29 thru December 1, 2012. And we’re happy to point out, as with so many Niagara Falls’ events, Clifton Hill Niagara Falls Hotel is at the center of it all. And all of it is going to be pretty fabulous.

So, what is Red Bull Crashed Ice? It is essentially a race… but an insane race. Ice hockey players hurtle down a course up to 500 metres long in groups of four. Shoulder to shoulder, elbow to elbow, they push, slide, sprint and wrangle for victory. And it’s not easy. The steep downhill track is dotted with chicanes, jumps and rollers. First to the bottom wins. Since it first appeared in 2000, Red Bull Crashed Ice has de-veloped to become the most breathtaking winter sports events in the world.
And for this event, aside from the racers themselves, Comfort Inn Clifton Hill puts you at the center of the action. In addition to the elimination races and the big final on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there are a ton of great events all over Clifton Hill. There’s the big Red Bull Official opening party at Rumours Nightclub on Thursday night and an incredible Street Party on Victoria Avenue until 4 a.m. on Friday night just to mention two. Of course anytime you visit Clifton Hill, you are at the heart of the entertainment district.
