Labour Day weekend may be over and the kids are back to school, but Niagara still has another big event on the horizon! The 20th Annual Niagara Food Festival occurs this coming weekend beginning Friday, September 6th, 2013 to Sunday, September 8th, 2013. This is “The Peninsula’s Tastiest Party” and draws an estimated tens of thousands of visitors every year, with this year possibly surpassing those previous. The Niagara Food Festival is set in Downtown Welland, just a short drive from Niagara Falls. For 2013, there is a confirmed 50 food vendors participating, plus various other art and community vendors.
When and what time does the Niagara Food Festival run?
Friday, September 6th, 2013: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
Saturday, September 7th, 2013: 11:00am – 11:00pm
Sunday, September 8th, 2013: 11:00am – 5:00pm

To cap off all the excitement, Friday and Saturday evening will come complete with a fireworks show right after the evenings entertainment at approximately 10:50pm — be sure to catch the 15 minute displays!

Special appearances by the Food Network Celebrity Chefs Chuck Hughes, Anna Olson and Danny Smiles will also be on hand, complete with food demonstrations and a “Community Breakfast” with Anna and Michael Olson at 8:00 am on Sunday, September 8th, 2013 at the Riverstone Event Centre. FREE Festival Shuttle!
Street parking is limited, so take the FREE Niagara Food Festival Shuttle to Downtown Welland! The buses run from the Seaway Mall Cinema Entrance to Hellems/East Main St. in Downtown Welland. The shuttle runs every 20 minutes. Click here for the shuttle times, complete with directions to the event.
