Niagara Falls To Be Lit In Red to Honor Veterans

Niagara Falls, ON – In commemoration of the sacrifice and contributions made by veterans and current service personnel in both Canada and the United States, The Niagara Falls Illumination Board will light the Falls in red as a symbol of remembrance and honor to all who have served and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
According to The Niagara Parks Commission Chairman Jim Williams, “Our Board felt there was no better way to honor our soldiers, veterans and those who have fallen, than to illuminate this shared natural wonder in red.” Williams believes that with Remembrance Day falling on a Sunday this year, the evening will provide a greater number of individuals an opportunity to view, pause and reflect on the sacrifices made for our two countries. “With Sunday being a traditional day of worship that tends to bring families together, I believe it befits the message such a memorial lighting will send.”
