Reading Time:  3 minutes -

The Lunar New Year, also known as the Chinese New Year, will be held on February 1st, 2022, and will usher in the year of the Water Tiger.

What is the “Year of the Tiger”?
The year 2022 is the Water Tiger’s year. It begins on February 1, 2022, and concludes on January 21, 2023. Every 60 years, a Water Tiger year occurs.

The Tiger is the third of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac’s 12-year cycle. There is a Tiger year every 12 years.. The Chinese zodiac is divided into 12 blocks, similar to the western zodiac, except their temporal period is measured in years rather than months. The following Tiger Year will be in 2034.

The year 2022 is designated as a “Water Tiger” year. Each Chinese zodiac animal sign and one of the Five Elements are associated with each year in Chinese astrology: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire, or Earth. Your personality and destiny are considered to be influenced by the sign and element of your birth year. Every 60 years, element-sign combinations reoccur. If you were born under the “Water Tiger,” sign and element, it is said that you are strong, can easily expel evils, and are valiant.
