Niagara IceDogs Tickets Contest!

Niagara IceDogsThe Niagara IceDogs are at it again with another busy season! For those of you that don’t know, the Niagara IceDogs are a major junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League based in St.Catharines, which neighbours Niagara Falls.

The franchise was originally known as the Mississauga IceDogs, founded in 1998. The team was relocated to St. Catharines and played its inaugural season in the Niagara region during the 2007-2008 OHL season after spending 9 seasons in Mississauga.

History of the Niagara IceDogs

The Niagara IceDogs was founded in 1998 and was originally known as the Mississauga Ice Dogs. The first three seasons they struggled, but soon they began to turn things around. In 2006, Eugene Melnyk who owned the Toronto St.Michael’s Majors bought the team, and after the 2006-2007 season he sold the Mississauga IceDogs. The team then approached the City of St.Catharines to move the team there and on June 5, 2007 the OHL Board of Governors approved a deal with the City of St.Catharines on a leasing arrangement at the Jack Gatecliff Arena (Gatorade Garden City Complex). They are currently owned by Bill and Denise Burke.

*Niagara IceDogs Arena is located at: 8 Gale Crescent, St Catharines, ON L2R 4C3*

*Niagara IceDogs Office is located at: 35 Queen Street, St. Catharines, L2R 5G4*

Contest Time!!!

The Niagara IceDogs have 34 home games for the 2013/2014 season and in partnership with the IceDogs, they have generously given us 4 tickets to their home game on Friday, November 22nd (against Sudbury)!

All you have to do to enter is “like” the Clifton Hill – Niagara Falls Fun FB page and “share” this blog post! One person will be drawn at random to win 4 tickets to take their family, friends, or whomever they choose to this game! Contest ends Monday, November 18th, 2013 and the winner will be notified then. Good luck — and remember to hit up Clifton Hill before or after the game for more family fun, dining and shopping — and of course, check out the Winter Festival of Lights going on now until January 31, 2014!
