The Mandarin at Niagara Square held its official grand opening, Tuesday.

Niagara Square’s extreme make over is almost ready to be unveiled.

One end of the Montrose Road mall has been essentially a construction site for the past years as crews worked on several new stores.

The new businesses reflect a focus on accessorizing the home rather than the body.

“We’re not a fashion centre but we’re becoming a home fashion centre,” said Tammy Robertson, marketing co-ordinator for the mall.

The newest addition will open its doors to the public on Saturday.

Jysk (pronounced yi-sk), will feature 19,000 square feet of furniture, accessories and bedding.

The Scandinavian-based company operates in 20 countries with more than 1,000 stores. (more…)

Falls bathed in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Niagara Falls will be bathed in pink, tonight, to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The waterfall will represent Canada during Estee Lauder’s eighth annual Global Landmarks Illumination campaign. It is the seventh time Niagara Falls has been lit for the campaign. The illumination ceremony will take place at the Illumination Tower Stage at Queen Victoria Park at 7 p.m.
