He’s not one for the limelight, but Len Cade took home the biggest prize of the night at the 41st annual Misty Awards Thursday.
The co-owner of the Best Western Cairn Croft won the Grand Misty award, presented to the person who has contributed the most to the tourism industry in a given year.
The ceremony was held at the Greg Frewin Theatre.
“I don’t look for recognition – I don’t generally enjoy the limelight, but I enjoy seeing something come to fruition,” Cade told about 270 people who attended the event, presented by Niagara Falls Tourism.
“I’m really honoured. I send my best wishes to each and every one of us in tourism. I hope for a successful tourism season this year and for many years to come.”
The Misty Awards recognize and celebrates the city’s tourism industry and its yearly accomplishments – something that Anna Pierce, executive director at Niagara Falls tourism, was eager to do.
