TORONTO, Dec. 3 /CNW/ – Global Television and Entertainment Tonight Canada welcome 2010 with ‘New Year’s Eve in Niagara Falls’, a fun-filled evening in celebration of the coming year.

The nationwide fete is an ET Canada first and will kick off with a 90-minute live broadcast from the Falls on Thursday, December 31 beginning at 11pm ET/PT on Global. ET Canada’s Rick Campanelli, Kim D’Eon, Rosey Edeh and Roz Weston will lead the countdown and ‘rock in’ the New Year with special performances by legendary rockers STYX and the multiple Juno Award-winning and Grammy-nominated, Glass Tiger.

“We’re delighted to partner with the Niagara Parks Commission and the City of Niagara Falls to deliver this exciting New Year’s Eve celebration to audiences nationwide,” said Barbara Williams, EVP of Content, Canwest Broadcasting. “ET Canada will bring its signature style to the year’s biggest night for an unforgettable evening of entertainment.”

With a dazzling fireworks display planned for midnight, the outdoor celebration will take place at the edge of the Falls in Queen Victoria Park and is expected to draw over 30,000 spectators.

  1. Came down to Niagara Falls with the nieces and nephews. Rang in the New Year at 9 p.m. and then attempted to watch the TV coverage. Man, ET Canada did such a crappy job. Between their idiotic comments and the constant cutting off of songs, it has been unbearable to watch. The worse was during the Styx/Gowan performance of Crimal Mind. Shame on you ET Canada.
