Crews are busy stringing more than three million sparkling lights on more than 120 displays along the Niagara Parkway as the Winter Festival of Lights prepares for its 27th year.
“Today is a glorious fall day and we’re getting our displays ready,” Dino Fazio, festival manager, said Tuesday during a tour of the park.
Preparations began Oct. 1 and most of the displays are ready to go on opening night.
The annual festival, which attracts more than one million visitors each year, will get underway Saturday at 5 p. m. when Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will flip the switch at Queen Victoria Park. (more…)
