World Dragon Boat Racing Championships Opening Ceremony
As part of the World Dragon Boat Championships taking place at the Welland International Flatwater Centre August 19th - 23rd, the official opening ceremonies will take place at Queen Victoria Park in Niagara Falls.
When: Monday, August 17th, 2015 from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm at the Queen Victoria Park Coca-Cola Stage
This is a FREE event which will include a parade of nations, and a special fireworks show at 9:30 pm sharp!
The 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships will attract approximately 2500 participants from across the world. Athletes range from 12 years of age to 80+.
The 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships will feature countries from Australia, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Macau, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, and the United States.
