The fire pods of IlluminAqua will dance, reflect and illuminate the peaceful waters of the Recreational Waterway as residents and visitors alike stroll along the banks of the Old Welland Canal.

Challenge Day 2008
The City of Niagara Falls welcomes schools, corporations, sport organizations and community members to participate in the 10th Annual World Challenge Day. Challenge Day is a worldwide event in which the goal is to move every citizen to break their daily routine and practice some form of physical activity for just 15 minutes on Wednesday, May 28th, 2008. To motivate participation, municipalities across the World will be competing against each other.
The City of Niagara Falls feels World Challenge Day will greatly assist in addressing the importance of Community Health & Wellness. The purpose of Challenge Day is to increase physical activity participation of as many citizens as possible. Additionally, the goal includes raising awareness that physical activity not only promotes health, but also increases social integration and ultimately improves our quality of life. The Niagara Pumphouse Visual Art Centre is presenting its Eighth Annual Niagara Artists Studio Tour to be held Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.each day.
You are invited to visit the homes and studios of a selection of talented Niagara artists whose work ranges from modern jewelry to welded garden ornaments, from small pastels to huge oils, from turned wood of a modern form to detailed Celtic design. Twenty-six artists from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Queenston and St. Catharines will be participating.
